How powerful. The display about the displacement of indigenous people is really thought provoking. There is also a display about street photography which is also interesting. A small cafe serving nice coffee rounds it off. Lifts to each floor.

LOTS to see and we enjoyed it. The large photo display is excellent. The Native Indian section most informative. Strong recommendation.

While we were hoping to see its extensive collection of wampum, we did enjoy the current exhibit on the 1st Nations in Quebec and the need for reconciliation. The street photography of Montreal was also interesting.

The McCord Stewart Museum is a hidden gem of a museum in Montreal's many museums. I am a frequent visitor to the museum, and each visit is more memorable than the last. The recent Costume Balls and the Pounding the Pavement photo expositions are exceptional. Each one allows the visitor to quietly absorb and personalize the experience. The exhibitions are perfect foils, each presenting an inside glance into what was and is Montreal and its citizens. Both exhibitions are a must-see!

Interesting museum for specific exhibitions/themes. I loved the ballroom attires from back in the day, as well as the presentation of a few dresses newly designed by students inspired buy the theme.

The museum is in a beautiful building. However, they certainly need better signage as it was not obvious that the wheel chair accessible entrance was on the side of the building. Also, I'm sure some would really appreciate the exhibits, I unfortunately found them not to be particularly unique/worthwhile. All in all, with so many things to do in Montreal, I'd say this is a skippable experience.

The indigenous peoples exhibit and the Vogue Magazine exhibit were both great and I enjoyed very much

Excellent museum with an amazing and thoughtful exhibit on the local indigenous people. The exhibit of art of the city of Montreal itself was also wonderful.

This museum does a nice job telling the history of the indigenous people. It doesn’t seem they have much of a permanent collection so I’d be sure to check the exhibits before attending. They have a nice cafe for a coffee and snack.

Took advantage of the Free to the Public Wednesday nights offer. You still have to book your admission, but it was free. When attending this, you don't have access to the whole museum, but we enjoyed what we saw. We saw the Indigenous Voices of Today, which we found very moving, and well presented. We also saw MOTHER MEMORY CELLOPHANE-Séamus Gallagher, which was interesting, but not as meaningful to us. We had a good visit.
