Mornings in the city are fascinating because they always show you the most authentic aspect of how its inhabitants live in their hometown. Having a local brunch called almuerzo is a social activity shared by almost all people in Valencia. “Almorzar” is a gastronomic tradition that defines what Valencia is like and what its people are like: an irreducible village, proud of its culinary localisms! This unique cultural custom is explained more in detail by our local experts during this tour. If you have just arrived in town this is a perfect introduction to the Spanish gastronomy, the essentials of Valencia and the local culture. More than a tour, we will live a cultural, walking and gastronomic tour in the same experience. By the end of the adventure, you’ll know exactly why “Esmorzaret Valenciano” culture in the morning can’t exist outside of Valencia (so you’ll have to come back!).

Our guide Rita was lovely, professional and informative. She knew the area well, and was The food tour itself was nice; though I wished they had spoken a little more about how certain foods were made

This was a great experience! We had delicious food and all the spots were pretty close to each other. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great mix of history and eating!

Great food and fun to experience with other people from all over the world. Our guide gave us a tour of the old city and every stop included new surprises and fantastic food.

This tour was one of the best tours I’ve ever booked . Our guide Fatine was very friendly and knowledgeable not only on food but also on neighborhood history, Spanish culture and customs. I appreciated the way we were guided through a typical day of Spanish gastronomy. Fatine explained every dish and meal of what we were eating and why we were eating each particular meal at the time of day and the customary way of eating and drinking from the traditional 2 breakfast meals to eating chocolate and churros. She explained Desayuno and Almuerzo. It was such a great education . I very much enjoyed the market . I do not recommend eating ANYTHING that morning of your tour as the food and drinks are abundant!! I never thought the food and drink would stop. 😂. I was so full and very satisfied my the end of the tour. I would personally like to thank Fatine on a job well done. What an amazing day !! Thank you 😎.

Nice variety of stops. Excellent food. Yes we could have done this on our own but Abby took us to some places that I hadn’t heard of despite coming to Valencia monthly for 3 years and I tried new things. Nice balance of walking, food and drink. A lot of food!! Enough for breakfast and lunch.

We loved the tour and Fatine did an excellent job leading us. There were more stops than we expected and each was well thought out and expertly executed. This was so much more than a food tour and it really raised our cultural awareness.

Our guide was pleasant and friendly. The food was as we expected, Valencia food of the people. Starting w toast & tomato & an orange cake, then to a Valencian brunch place for calamar or pork spread sandwhich and beer, liquor or melon juice then to Marcado for horchata, sweet bread, then jamon n cheese n vermouth then chocolate & liquor shop, no frills or fancy things. Just food of the people.
