This review is not about the cruise itself as it needs its own separate review, but it is about an afternoon spent with a guide while on that cruise, Heba Nagdi, in Luxor, as part of the itinerary. Heba is a guide who had a wealth of knowledge to share. She is a passionate Egyptologist who explains what you are looking at so well that you gain a global understanding of how certain traditions, cultures, and beliefs affected human behaviour in ancient Egypt. Heba made things easy to understand because of her advanced gift in story telling. Thank you, Heba, for your guidance as it made me gain a deep appreciation and understanding for Luxor!

The tour company has been amazing at ensuring all my questions and concerns were addressed, I was in contact with them months prior to the tour and as promised all was delivered. We would like to just take this moment to appreciate the tremendous effort both our Guide Ahmed Elkallaf And Driver Gaber did during our trip in Luxor. They ensured we felt comforted and did everything they could to make us enjoy our trip, we had two little ones with us and they made sure they had cooled drinks, car ready with AC, on time and safely reaching destinations. Our guide was very knowledgable and explained everything thoroughly and even was our personal photographer. A special note, when we were told we may not be able to ride the hot air balloon, both of them went above and beyond to ensure we had a chance to make it happen, you feel it when someone means well and we truly felt that in both of them…they made our time in Luxor a great experience and created memories that will last a lifetime.

The tour was highly informative & entertaining thanks to Guide Ahmed Elkallaf whose subject knowledge was truly laudable ! He was really helpful & willing to walk the extra mile to make us feel comfortable & was very accomodative to our requests. Driver Gaber was so polite & courteous...must recommend for all planning a visit to Luxor.

We spent 2 days in Luxor, the guide (Ahmed Elkallaf) and driver (Hamada) are informative and caring.

The whole experience was really good and insightful!! We visited a lot of places, temples and memorials, which brought us closer to the ancient times...for me that made everything even more special, because, based on our tour guide's (Ahmed) explanation, I could actually imagine how was life back then. He explained everything clearly and was ready to answer all of our questions. On top of this, he was really kind and open about our experience. I could only recommend them! The only thing is that, if you would like to receive detailed informations, you should contact them on WhatsApp. Thank you for this beautiful holiday!

In short we booked less than a month before travelling se we got a bit stressed however all worked out very good, we where able to comunicate with the agency via whatsapp which is extremely handy ( you will need to buy a telecom card for data) and arrange drivers pickup, extras etc... Our driver (Emad) was very kind and helpful with all kinds of matters and our tour guide also (Ahmed) very well spoken english, honest and knowledgeable, giving us enough time on our own but also with us to understand the sites and also getting us through unecessary trouble. We where expecting less on the boat but surprise surprise, the meals had many different options the cabin was good and the crew was extremely kind. *Ask questions to your guides in order to have a full breakdown of what you willbe doing

Ahmed, our guide, was very prompt & courteous. Earlier in the morning (around 2 am), the Best of Egypt Tour had cancelled our Dehabiya Cruise (no explanation) scheduled for pick up at 8 am the same morning. Our U.S. travel agent had to scramble to get us to Aswan by Friday 29th April (as previously planned); he ended up booking a regular (and not Dahabiya) cruise. Our agent was told there were no Dahabiya tours; however we saw one on the river. The reason for pointing this out is Ahmed handled the situation calmly as we did not realized he was to tour us on the same places we already had been to. He quickly devised another plan that was acceptable to us. He provided a detailed history of Egypt, guided us to Medinet Temple, Luxor Museum & Mummification Museum. His extensive knowledgeable at these sites were much appreciated. It was definitely a very memorable guided tour that we can rate very high. Thank you to Ahmed for leaving us happy campers & thank you to driver Heshmat who was also prompt, patience, courteous & helpful.
