Puerto Plata: 27 Waterfalls Epic Taino Bay Excursion

Great experience! Be sure to wear sturdy water shoes and pack a change of clothes for after. My kids (11 and 15) had a wonderful time and were asking to do it again!

Rigo and his uncle (our driver) were great. We paid a deposit online to reserve in advance and he met us at the cruise terminal, drove us to the waterfall/zipline tour/lunch spot in a private van. They were very professional and kind, even offering to add on more activities. The waterfall tour was our favorite, a huge hit for the 7 year old and 11 year old (jumps, waterfall slides) next time we will skip the zipline and do more waterfalls if possible. We’d also like to check out the monkeys next time. Highly recommend Rigo, he was very responsive and easy to work with. They have better prices than booking through the cruise ship and will use them again 👍🏻.

If I could give 10 stars I would - this was the best excursion!!!! Right off the ship - easy walk and found our guide. We were off about a 15 min drive! They offered us a 3rd option before we arrived and it was amazing! We used the entire day to zip line, waterfall, and dune buggy!!! Best day of our cruise! First arrive and getting fitted up - hike up for 45 min (5 min DR time) with breaks. We ziplined 7x it was great and we went fast down the lines! Always felt safe. Then we got to the waterfalls/slides…water is deep and chilly but wonderful!!! We walked through caves and went down multiple slides, last we jumped 20 feet! It was scary to me but jumped eventually. My family LOVED IT! The entire time we had our own personal paparazzi! Photos and videos of everything was very reasonable. They really took every opportunity to get the perfect picture through the entire excursion. Last we ate a chicken, rice, and veggie lunch. Our added dune buggy fun was at a different location and close to the ship. It was more than I expected - the mud was wet and warm and was hilarious! We had 2 buggies - (2pp and 3pp). We all got real dirty and had a blast. We saw horses, chickens, cows, and stopped at a little shop to try mommajuana and yummy chocolate and coffee. We cleaned off at the shop and then again on a secluded beach where you can see the ship. It was very cool! We were back and bought our pics and videos again from “paparazzi” it was great. Don’t bring your phones! You don’t need them. Loved it and made it to the ship in plenty of time!!! What a blast for the 5 of us….48/47/25/22/19 years young.

My last tour with Pop Dominican Travel was February 2025. I have taken tours with Rigo several times and sent many of my friends and family to tour with him as well... Rigo offers top notch service and you will do just as I do, book him time and time again... If you need a great travel experience, I highly recommend this service...

Rico and his team are top-notch! We had an amazing experience and you always feel like VIP when you are on one of their tours. Their price cannot be beat and their service is impeccable. They make everything so easy from the minute. You walk off the ship to the time they drop you back off at Port. We did the zip lining which was absolutely amazing, the waterfalls, which was incredible and the monkeys, which was so much fun. I have used this Tour company in the past and honestly, I would always recommend them. We have used them for city tours in the past beach tours in the past, and I’ve never been disappointed..
