We had an absolutely incredible experience with Iguana Mama Adventure Tours, and I can’t recommend them enough. From the very start, Ramone was outstanding. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and shared so much fascinating information about the local area, culture, and surroundings throughout the day. It ended up being just our group of four, which meant we essentially had a private tour, and Ramone went above and beyond—volunteering to take photos and videos of us the entire time so we could truly enjoy the experience. Our driver deserves special recognition as well—he did an amazing job navigating the mountain roads and made us feel completely safe and comfortable the entire drive. Along the way, we learned so much about cacao, seeing it multiple times throughout the tour. At the end of the excursion, we asked Ramone if he had recommendations for a local chocolate company. Not only did he have a recommendation, but he told us we had time and personally took us there. We ended our day sampling and purchasing delicious, locally made chocolate—an experience we never would have had otherwise. This tour was extra special for us because it was our 30th wedding anniversary, and the team surprised us by hanging an anniversary banner in the van. That thoughtful gesture truly meant the world to us and made the day even more memorable. Our waterfall guide was also fantastic—his nickname is “5 More Minutes” because he’s constantly encouraging you with “just five more minutes” on the hike up the hill. His humor, patience, knowledge, and support made the hike enjoyable and manageable, and we appreciated his guidance every step of the way. This was hands down one of the best excursions we’ve ever done. Iguana Mama doesn’t just offer tours—they create meaningful, personal, and unforgettable experiences. We would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone visiting the area.

Great trip! Exciting, informative and fun! Alex was excellent sharing great information and his love of DR with us. Coming from a cruise ship, this was a perfect way to spend our family’s shore time.

Great day, Hike took around 40 minutes (quite a trek if not very mobile) beautiful area. Zip lines brilliant Waterfalls good, last jump 20ft was scary but great. Guides were fab

This was a great activity! We especially enjoyed our driver and guide, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more fun. Everything was well-organized, and we felt safe and taken care of the whole time. Highly recommend this tour company to anyone looking for a memorable experience!

My girlsfriends and I were picked up at the port by Alexander and his driver. He was very professional. Did a great job making us feel so safe. He also made sure we had lots of fun! Hands down a major highlight of our trip.

Fun experience- walk back to falls is long but they give you plenty of breaks. Falls were very fun, especially for teens and adults. Our tour guides were very good and helpful.

Highly recommend booking this tour! Carlos and Maximus were great tour guides. To find them walk to the very end of the pier, I asked staff that were at the port and they directed us where to go. The lunch after the waterfalls was amazing and the rum and coke drinks great too! Some of the falls were closed due to a storm the previous week and Carlos and Maximus went above and beyond to fill our time- they took us on a scenic drive around the island and into town to do some shopping. Be sure to bring cash to tip!

This excursion was amazing! Our family did the waterfall & zip line combination and we all had an amazing time. I definitely recommend paying for the photographer to accompany your group. We had Hector who was awesome and took so many great photos and videos! It was worth every penny!!
