Unforgettable Banff Wildlife Safari: Rockies Icons

We learned so much about the mating habits of the noble elk, the grizzly bear, the deer, the black bear and the Boss and Split-lip.

Had fun day with Jake, made us all welcome from pick up to drop off, Jake was a mind of information and witty with his stories

Jake was a great guide who kept the bus entertained with his repartee. The two hours flew by. We saw deer, elk and a squirrel……. Even if the wildlife don’t appear it is still a lovely trip with breathtaking scenery. We also had a couple of stops to take pics. Very enjoyable evening trip.

We took a private evening wild life viewing tour with Jake. It was a great evening. Definitely a 5 star tour. Jake knew where to look and we were also lucky. As we turned into the first park we saw a 6 point bull elk. And shortly after that a black bear. The evening continued with sightings of male, female and young elks. Jake also is knowledgeable about the area with stories and history to tell. One small funny thing is he reminded me of a childhood toy we had back in the 1960s, Wooly Willy. With his great sense of humor the evening flew by.

To start off, Jake is a fund of knowledge as well as being the nicest most polite guide. But what’s most incredible is his leading us directly to our most desired goal-to see both the Grizzly and the Black Bear in Banff NP. We knew that we may not be successful. Yet, we saw five bears on our tour: a mother grizzly and two her two cubs and later, on separate occasions, two adult male black bears. Awesome.

Neil collected us at the allotted time. He was very informative, humorous with a bit of sarcasm (which i like). Friendly. He took us to the giggles. He showed us the best angle for photos and offered to take the photos. We saw big horned sheep. Great tour, obviously made better by the tour guide.

Spencer was super knowledgeable and charismatic. We saw bears and big horn sheep from the safety of the tour bus. I wish Spencer the best with his wood frog film!

We took this tour on our first morning in Banff. It was a great intro to the area. We really didn’t see much wildlife, but that might be due to the unusually warm morning.

Excellent whirlwind introduction to Banff and the surrounding area. Lucy Davies was a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable and full of helpful advice.

Evie was our very enthusiastic and knowlegdeable guide on this tour. We saw a herd of beautiful elk and Some graceful white tail deer. Well organized and interesting.
