I can’t praise Andy or Tenerife guided walks highly enough. I came to Tenerife on a last minute solo trip for a bit of winter sun but I’m not the sort who wants to just laze around by the pool all day. I therefore booked three walks with him - the wow factor walk (which lived up its name), amazing Anaga and Masca from above. Andy is a fantastic guide who will pick you up from your hotel, has a great knowledge of the history of the island, which he is not shy of sharing, and goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a great trip. His prices are very reasonable for what you get and he even managed to find a plan B (or even Z) after a load of nutters doing a marathon trail run in 25 plus degree heat threatened to disrupt the second hike. I also met some great people along the way. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to any outdoorsy types looking for a more active type of holiday 👍.

My 2nd time to Tenerife this year and I must have done 7 or 8 walks with Andy, which speaks for itself. Andy is an excellent guide, I’ve really enjoyed all the walks, in different parts of Tenerife. Well worth doing.

We walked with Andy on 25/11/25 Masca from above . We had a fantastic day and Andy kept us informed about landscape and plants on our way . A fantastic day out . As was our walk on 27/11/25. The wow factor, truly breathtaking scenery, lives up to its name . A great two days walking .

Looking for fantastic hikes in Tenerife? Then join Andy. He'll pick you up from your hotel in the morning and drop you back at the end of the day. Spend a whole day in nature with a great guide who'll tell you all about the area and is also very knowledgeable about nature. So...don't hesitate and book a hike with him.

The hike was great and the scenery utterly amazing. But if I am honest, its unfortunate for me to say that I did not enjoy Andy leading as the guide. On three separate occasions, when myself and two others in the group asked questions, his responses were rude and condescending. He also bizarrely stopped us walking on several instances, not to talk about the scenery or the hike, but to irrelevantly talk about himself, which other people in the group agreed to be frustrating and odd. At the top of the hike’s summit one the soles of my boots detached, which was a big concern since we were so exposed in the heat and so far away from anywhere. Luckily another group member had some tape to temporarily fix it back to my boots, but it required us to stop and fix it again a few times. Andy didn’t ever wait for me and the 2 other ladies who helped me, which prompted them to also comment that it was weird why he would previously make us all wait to talk about himself, but not for someone on the hike who was in trouble. I also feel there should be more safety taken into account. On one very narrow path of the hike, right on a high cliff edge that was not foreseeable until you were right on it, Andy lead us right along it without warning, when its wasn’t necessary as there was an alternate path a few feet away. I’ve been on dozens of guide-led hikes all over the world, and I am well aware of what a guide should and shouldn’t do to lead a group. Unfortunately, this hike wasn’t led in a way that I feel it should have been.

Thank you Andy for a great 2 days out hiking. The booking process was easy. Pick up was punctual and the walks were beautiful. The first walk I did was Masca from above and the second was the Wow Factor. Andy knew the trails like the back of his hand and was so knowledgeable about the history, geology and nature in the different landscapes. He knew the best ways and timings to get us to absolutely amazing view points. He took some beautiful photos that were shared and kept us amused with chats and jokes along the way. I would definitely recommend guided Tenerife walks with Andy and if I’m in Tenerife again then I will be getting in touch do another hike.

The hike was great, there was amazing scenery and Andy was very knowledgeable on the local area. It was a nice easy pace and plenty of opportunities to take photos etc. I would say there were a few comments on the hike from Andy that I felt a little uncomfortable with and wouldn't have expected from a professional guide. In addition, the drive back to the hotel after the hike was not enjoyable at all. There were numerous dangerous over takes including round corners and also driving extremely close to the car in front. On this road there are many steep drops on the other side and I felt like the safety and comfort of the passengers wasn't taken into account at all. For this reason I wouldn't book again, which is a shame as the hike itself was enjoyable.

Fantastic day with Andy, experienced guide and knowledgeable about the area, walks are relaxed with plenty opportunity's to take pics and appreciate the surroundings.
