During your visit to Madeira, it is almost mandatory to take a sea tour to observe cetaceans. Its excellent location allows you to see these species throughout the year. Take a close look at some of the 28 species of cetaceans that inhabit or visit the waters of the Madeira Archipelago. On our boat trips, it is very common to find: The Common Dolphin (Delphinus delphis) The Painted Dolphin (Stenella frontalis) The Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truincatu) The Sperm Whale (Physeter macrocephalus) The Pilot Whale (Globicephala macrorhynchus) Bryde's Whale (Balaenoptera edeni). In the turtle family, the Boba Turtle (Caretta caretta) is the most sighted. Come and observe these friendly cetaceans and make your trip a truly unforgettable experience!

We went on the arranged day and after a bit of trying, the marine biologist said the weather was too bad to find anything and it was only getting worse. He said we'd get a voucher, and with some music and good mood we went back. We arranged the visit again for a couple of days later, and it was a solid 10/10. We saw two groups of whales and some dolphins, and we managed to be around them for a little while. After that, we went to a quiet spot and had a quick swim, and then went back to port. The guides were marine biologists both times, and they explained some general bits about whales. Would absolutely do again!

We participated in the tour as a family. It was really fun. We got to see a group of short-finned pilot whales, and had great explanations. For the rest of the trip, we enjoyed the sea with music, and we even got to swim in the sea for a while. We would surely recommend Madeira Sea Emotions.

We had the best time on this tour. Best price was booked with the company at their office. Very friendly staff. Great captain who made sure we had the maximum about of fun. The perfect mix of calm whale watching followed by more adrenaline pumping fast boat sailing with twists and turns. I went with my primary aged daughters and husband and we all loved it. Even when my eldest felt a little sick this was managed extremely well allowing her to ride in the bridge with plenty of support and distraction until she felt better. I would highly recommend this trip. Don't leave Madeira without experiencing it.

A great experience. The captain and the spotter are very enthousiastic. They showed us two different spieces of dolphins. We also made a trip to the rocks where we could swim. They told as a lot about the nature and the animals.

Great guide, we got to see two types of dolphins and then got to hop in the water. Also played some great music after spotting the dolphins.

Great time, saw a big family of pilot whales, guide was very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend. Smaller group allowed for more time to see.

Very enjoyable! We didn’t spot any dolphins on our first trip, so they let us re-book for free. On our second trip saw lots of wildlife. The staff were very friendly and made it a fun experience
