What a lovely day we spent with Luis. He was knowledgeable about the towns and crafts but also answered all our questions about life in Mexico. He spoke excellent English. He was friendly and personable. With his experience as a guide, he paced the day just right for us. We highly recommend this tour with Luis. BC and VB from Ottawa, Canada

This tour was very informative. Our guide basically talked non-stop explaining everything you could think of about the history of the area, and he answered any questions we had. We went to a bunch of museums as we walked around and we saw pottery being made. We moved really fast so we could see everything. The only thing I wish we did was slow a bit so I could take more pictures or buy more souvenirs. I was able to do some, but we had so much to see that there wasn’t much time for browsing. Other than that, this tour was amazing. Definitely recommended.

It was just me with a guide, Carlos. So even for one person they organize the tour. He asked me what I wanted and we spent most of our time in Tonola, as I preferred (had been to Tlaquepaque before). I felt like a VIP. Very special is visiting the workshop of the Bernabe family.

I had a great time with Ricardo touring Tonalá and Tlaquepaque. We saw some cool cermaics, visited a cermaic master's studio, and had a tasty and filling Mexican lunch.

Such an awesome day! Luis was my guide and he was so nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. I loved touring the small villages and seeing the handmade crafts. The lunch was also fantastic with a mariachi band. All around great day. Highly recommend this tour!

My wife and I really enjoyed this private tour to Tonalá and Tlaquepaque. It was our first time visiting Tonalá. We took a stroll through the streets to the local Church, Museo De Ceramica and Galeria Bernabe among others. The highlight was visiting Galeria Bernabe, it was an eye-opining experience at this artisan place - it is a world renowned shop that creates works of arts. Highly recommend to visit this place and have the family discuss their heritage in art, process, awards and publications around the world. Tlaquepaque is an all time favorite of ours so getting re-acquainted with the town was awesome and learning more about the art galleries with Luis was awesome. Highly recommended tour!

This is a fantastic day trip if you want to explore a couple of small towns outside of the city proper. Tour guide Luis is fluent in English and is extremely knowledgeable in the region's history and culture. The visit to Tonala especially was truly special and I'm glad to have the opportunity to see such authentic artistry in the region. Even in Tlaquepaque which is supposed to be more "touristy", you will NOT find any touristy concessions here. Everything is unique and authentically made in the region. It says a lot about the culture and the pride of the people there!
