Zakopane & Thermal: Transformative Tatra Mountain Escape

Lovely experience with Tom, would t change it but the weather . Loved every minute and Tom was very clear and told us everything we needed to know . Very helpful!!

Absolutely top notch from the friendly pick up at the start of the day to the finish. Tom was a fantastic host who gave us a great insight into the history of Poland en route to the picturesque wooden village of Chochołów. Then onwards to Zakopane where we went to one of Tom's recommended restaurants for lunch the traditional Krupowa Izba. It was here that we also went up in the funicular railway to see the beautiful views across the area and benefit from the fresh mountain air. From there we travelled to see a traditional shepherds hut with a really tasty Smoked cheese snack, but it was really the friendly banter between Tom and the owner that made the experience so special. Then onto the baths which are fabulous - the time flew in. Can't recommend this experience or Tom enough as he guided us every step of the way so we got the best experience possible.

We had a fantastic day with our fellow travellers who were brilliant, as well as our Guide, Tom, from Krak Tours on our trip to Zakopane and the thermal baths! Tom was utterly fantastic – he was super friendly, fun, and more than happy to share his knowledge of Poland and the language of Polish with us. Throughout the day Tom also took the time to send us useful information about areas we were visiting and also gave us fabulous restaurant and bar recommendations for each area. Tom is a really hard worker with impeccable language skills who is passionate about his work and made the whole day feel fun and special. The driving was safe and the vehicle was also clean and comfortable, and we stopped at some stunning points on the way. Zakopane itself was really beautiful – we had time to wander and try out some local specialities before heading to the thermal baths, which were so relaxing and organised. You can tell Tom really cares about his work and customers as he was always checking in with us and was on hand if help was needed throughout the day. We would 1000% recommend Krak Tours and especially Tom – he was fantastic! Don't bother with the bigger, generic tours where guides are disinterested and tours are ten a penny and dull - go for this and you'll have a great time!

Excellent trip. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Mike was so friendly, informative and helpful. He went above and beyond. There was so much to see and to do. Would definitely do it all again. Was a highkight to our trip to Poland.

Small minibus picked us up right outside the hotel. Our driver Mike was so friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. His stories on the way really helped to make the most out of the locations. Trip is really worth the money.

An amazing day, we had plenty of time to stop at each place and was a wonderful experience. Beautiful sites to see and the thermal pools were a really nice way to relax at the end. Mike was brilliant all the way through, keeping us informed and telling us about the history and stories of places we visited. On the top of the list to recommend to people visiting Poland.

What an absolutely fantastic trip to Zakopane! We started by exploring the charming Main Street before heading to a lovely traditional restaurant that our wonderful host, Tom, had recommended the food was delicious and authentic. After lunch, we visited a shepherd’s hut where we tried the famous local cheese with cranberry, which was a real treat! Next, we spent a relaxing couple of hours at the thermal baths. Our final stop was in Chochołów village, where we had a quick look around the picturesque wooden houses and local scenery. Our host Tom was truly outstanding throughout the entire day. He shared fascinating stories and a great amount of Polish history, making the experience both educational and engaging. Tom went above and beyond, even showing us how the lockers worked and guiding us around the thermal baths. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this trip and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better host. Thank you so much, Tom, for an unforgettable day in Zakopane!

Mike was an excellent friendly guide and provided recommendations and tips. The trip was a superb day out from start to finish and it felt a more private experience as there was only 6 of us in total. The places were pretty and views stunning. The cheese and vodka was a tasty treat 😋.
