Munich Day Trip: Fairytale Castles & Royal Palaces

What a wonderful day! We didn’t even know about Palace Linderhof and we ended up loving the grounds there - and really appreciating the story of Ludwig II. Our guide Elizabeth was extremely knowledgeable! The “Sleeping Beauty “ castle was, of course, amazing! We ended up taking a trail through the woods very steep) right up the viewing bridge. Very long line for bridge, but worth it! Kusha was our driver for the day - very easy and comfortable ride.

Trip was well planned with no delays going and coming back. The guide ( Elizabeth ) and the driver ( sorry couldn’t spell his name ) both deserves much of the credit. It was a very pleasant trip for the day. The only thing I wish was more is the time at the Linderhof castle. We didn’t have much time to walk around the castle gardens other wise the day was well spent. Definitely we will recommend the day trip to friends.

excellent guide and driver, amazing sites. really worth going, Linderhof castle inside is fabulous and enough time allowed for the visit. We did not visit inside Neuschwanstein but really enjoyed outside view

Cansel was an amazing tour guide. She was energetic, informative, and very personable. The tour itself is excellent with a detailed description of both castles and King Ludwig II life.

Pedro was an awesome tour guide! We got to explore the two castle sites with enough time to really get a feel for the place without feeling as rushed as you usually are on these kinds of day trip tours. Would definitely for families and for all ages!

I undertook the tour to Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Palace Day Trip from Munich on 19-Oct-25. - Both the palaces are still ornate and kept and maintained extremely well. - The entire process of booking and organization went great. - The tour gives a good reflection of the monarchy in Germany, that we know little in my part if the world. The richness of the interiors and with many of the colors and detailing, gold and brass workings still intact, makes every money and time worth. - The drive was very scenic, with the autumn foliage making it visually refreshing. - The tour timing and length are quite optimal, with due attention to both the palaces, and also the intermediate conveniences - lunch, resting, the climb etc. - I was so fortunate to be in the company of travelers around the world, never met so many friendly people in a day. - About the team Team Elisabeth & Kusha O Kusha was at the helm of wheels; navigated us well and made sure the bus ride was comfortable O Elisabeth, a ever happy dame, is a professional par excellence. She kept us abreast on all the aspects of the tour, the places we visited, historical significance and all the necessary guidance. Without her, the tour wouldn't have been so outstanding. The explanations were so detailed, touching every aspect, including restaurant suggestions (... every worth of it) and when she would ask "any questions ?", I wondered " what to ask !!" as she had covered it already. Last but not the least, her comradeship and warmth made all the difference. Great going ma'am !! I would recommend this tour to all, without which visit to Bavaria is not complete.

It was beautiful if you don’t go inside the castle you just have to walk around the whole area to get to the back of the castle to take a picture. You won’t regret it. 25 minute walk up 25 minute walk

My husband and I had a fantastic experience visiting Linderhof and Neuschwanstein castle with this tour. The day was very organized, the information given before and during the tour was clearly communicated, and the bus was very comfortable. Our guide Charlie was so knowledgeable about the castles, the history of the region, and royal family/history, and he made the day run so smoothly! We had plenty of time at both castles (which were magnificent!) and also for food and bathroom breaks. I would highly recommend this tour, we had such a great time!

Elisabeth is a great tour guide and makes it such a great experience! The castles were beautiful and I would recommend this day trip to anyone!
