Nagarkot is one of the nearest and popular hills from Kathmandu. Nagarkot is a village located about 36 km east of Kathmandu Valley at an elevation of close to 2,165 m above sea level. As one of the most scenic spots in the region, Nagarkot is famous for its sunrise views of the Himalayas. You can observe Mount Everest with its snow-topped peaks, and there is an overlook tower at the very top of the village’s hills. Eight out of the 13 Himalayan ranges of mountains in Nepal such as Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Jugal, Rolwaling, Mahalangur (Everest), Numbur can be seen from here. You will also have panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley, and Shivapuri National Park.

Wonderful tour - my guide was extremely knowledgeable. His English was excellent. Was great watching the sunrise and look around Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Five stars. Can highly recommend!

Unfortunately it was a cloudy day in the mountains, so the view of the Himalayas which i had came for was not possible. But Prakash, our guide, was very knowledgeable about many subjects, so we booked a different tour with him for the next day to visit Hindu and Buddhist temples. I highly recommend this guide.

We had a wonderful tour with Prakash, watching the spectacular sunrise and then the UNESCO Bhaktapur Durban Square. WOW, this site was definitely worth visiting. I highly recommend Prakash and this tour.

The trip started early in the morning followed by a beautiful sunrise over the mountain range. After that we went to Bhaktapur to learn about the history and walk around to enjoy its morning atmosphere. Prakash, my guide, was a calm and brilliant person. He took me plenty of good photos as well. Highly recommended!

Lovely Sunrise tour at Nagarkot tower with views of the Himalayas, the views were stunning. Although Mt. Everest was hidden behind clouds, the other peaks were breathtaking and made up for it. After the sunrise, we went to Bhakatapur Durbar Square. The architecture and history there were fascinating, and our tour guide, Prakash was knowledgeable, friendly, and took some fantastic photos. Overall, I highly recommend this tour. Even with the slight disappointment of not seeing Everest, the beautiful scenery, cultural sites, and excellent guide made it a truly memorable trip.
