Poseidon's Sunset & Greek Feast: Exclusive Sounio Private Tour

This tour met my expectations and exceeded them! George was a bit early for our pickup time but we were ready and it was good to get on the road early (9:30) to beat some of the tourist busses. George was a delightful man, livening in Athens all of his life, so he was very knowledgeable about the island all of the questions we asked. George provided water and WiFi for the trip. Our first stop was a beautiful lookout at a swimming lake in Vouliagmeni,just a quick stop to stretch our legs and admire the beautiful view. Then it was on to the Temple of Poseidon. George told us how this was a strategic spot for the ancient Athenians to use as a lookout for enemy attack boats. The ruins perched on the edge of the water just blew me away, it was stunning. After our visit, George took us to a lovely seaside restaurant owned by 4 brothers, 2 worked in the restaurant and the other 2 were the fisherman. We were please with the table and view and we also avoided a few large groups! Our meal was outstanding. We listened to the waiter’s recommendations and we were very pleased. Our friends had the Sea Grill which was cooked and then filleted tableside and I had the Mussels Saganaki,Greek salad, beetroot salad and of course some Mythos, a Greek beer. Perfect spot for lunch with amazing food. Then back on to our hotel in Athens. We all wholeheartedly said that this booking was a Grand Slam and highly recommend it.

Every aspect of the tour were excellent. George our guide and driver, the sights, and the fresh seafood for lunch. We highly recommend.

We had a wonderful experience with our knowledgeable tour guide, George. He provided interesting historical background throughout the tour and was easy to engage with. The trip was comfortable and just the right length. I would recommend including lunch with the package. We stopped at a delightful restaurant on the water and the food was delicious.

This tour was excellent! We got beautiful photos of the temple at sunset. Our driver, Spyros, was amazing. This is the third tour we booked with My Athens Transfers and all three were perfect. We had Spyros, Costa, and Alex for the different tours. All were on time, informative, easy to communicate with, flexible, and made the drives go by so fast. We learned so much about the sites and about Greek life. Very nice and interesting people. Overall, I highly recommend this company!

Driver provided a nice experience including an unexpected stop at Lake Vouliagmeni. Area surrounding Poseidon's Temple was very beautiful! Unfortunately the day was very cloudy so the sunset was a disappointment (obviously not the tours fault :)). Although the food was excellent at the seaside restaurant the experience to be expected and what we could order at the restaurant should have been more clearly explained. We did not know what food was included for what we paid for so just followed what the waiter said to order. It would have been nice to know how this worked ahead of time.

Our evening trip to Sounios and the Temple of Poseidon was spectacular. Fortis, our guide was amazing. The van was clean and comfortable and deluxe. I recommend MyAthensTransfers without hesitation. I would use them again and again.

The temple of Poseidon was a little disappointing. There were only 2 signs explaining the area. The highlight of the trip was the drive along the seacoast, and the inclusive meal. We were able to sample all types of seafood. Yanni, our driver, was excellent. He answered lots of our questions about the economics of Greece today as well as some history of the area.

Nick did a great job. Was early and drove very safely. Trip down to Temple of Poseidon was beautiful. Very good knowledge of the area and historic sites. Also took us to Lycabettus Hill - spectacular views of Athens.

It was a great experience. Niko shares some interesting facts about the city and the temple. The conversation was interesting and very pleasant. Dinner was outstanding and the restaurant was great. I will recommend this trip to anyone who wants to have exceptional memories. Overall, 20 out of 10.
