Notre Dame Mystery and Latin Quarter Walking Tour

Sophia was a wonderful guide. We learned so much about Notre Dame architecture & iconography with her. Aldo lovely stroll through the Latin Quarter filled with history.

Sofia did a great job with both the cathedral and the latin quarter walk. We recommend using Sigma City Tours when in Paris.

We greatly enjoyed our tour with Sophia of the renovated Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Latin Quarter in Paris. This was the sole Trip Advisor Tour (when wwe booked) that included the interior Cathedral (rather than just the exterior). Having seen the CND prior to the fire, the repair is exquisite. Sophia was an exceptional guide to "secrets" and explanations of the Cathedral that one might not know as well as traversing the La tin Quarter and learning about its history and neighborhood culture. Helpfully, she pointed out other sites within the Quarter that we might want to visit, and suggested a couple of fun and interesting locations when on our own that afternoon. Our tour of Notre Dame was exceptional! Sophia our tour guide was passionate, knowledgeable and very professional in not only showing us the cathedral but explaining the history and of this Paris masterpiece. We feel blessed to have meet and toured the area with her. Her background and love of the city's history and culture was refreshing.

Excellent tour by an experienced guide who knew her subject matter. Sofia is a tremendous asset as a tour guide.

The information I learned during this tour was interesting. However, we weren’t given any details about the tour prior to entering Notre Dame (not even the guide’s name). We went in and followed the guide around unsure of what we should expect. After the 30 minute look around we went back outside and she gave us information regarding the inside and outside of the cathedral. It just would have been nice to have that explained to us as we went in. We wouldn’t have followed her around so much! The Latin Quarter tour was informative. I learned a lot of new information. We finished up at theLuxembourg Gardens, which was a nice end.

I was disappointed in this tour. The guide was friendly however she seemed really disinterested. We walked through Notre Dame without receiving much information. She pointed out the rose windows and a couple other art pieces. But basically just named them without explanation. I would have learned more using the Notre Dame map. There was more discussion about the outside which was more thorough and informative . The Latin quarter was just breezed through. We didn’t even hit all of the sites listed in the tour itinerary. Our guide pointed in the direction of where Shakespeare and Co was around the corner saying “ it’s down there “ We never saw it. When we got to Luxembourg Garden she brought us just inside the gate and the other couple on our tour needed to leave so she ended the tour even though there was 20 mins left I asked her where the most famous fountain was that I see in all of the brochures and she just hurriedly said there wasn’t one and I could walk around the main pond and get angles for pictures and she left. I ended up finding the fountain myself when I saw a crowd gathered taking pictures. It was just steps from where she left us and she could have brought us and discussed it like the other guides were doing, especially with the time left in the tour. We simply didn’t go to St Michel fountain at all. I don’t need a tour to just walk and point out things. For that, a map would suffice and not cost anything. I was disappointed that I spent so much money for an incomplete and shallow walk.

Amazing! Notre Dame was beautiful, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Great overall experience. Would definitely recommend.
