Breathtaking Prague: Castle & City Highlights Afternoon Tour

Excellent tour with history and fun. Our guide, Petra, was well educated in both. Great experience with public transport, gentle walking and pausing for all ages in our group. Our guide was an expert at answering a plethera of diverse questions, gently and respectfully giving details of experiences of Prague people under the Nazis, taking us to unique Check owned places for treats and stunning views of the city. One of our best tour guides in our travels.

A perfect way to see the historic areas of Prague and get a well informed history of the area, both ancient and modern life. Our Guide, Honza, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, amusing and friendly. We walked at a pace suitable for everyone in the party and the earphones we were given, ensured we could all hear his commentary perfectly. He took us on the underground and on the tram to reach the Castle - and we learned that as we were over 65, we were allowed to ride the public transport free of charge! His knowledge of Prague and its inhabitants and buildings, was amazing, and we were so glad we decided to explore parts of the city with someone so informative. The 3.5 hours went by so quickly. We had plenty of comfort breaks and time to stop for a local drink whilst taking in the views. Honza also gave us tips on where we might find good value restaurants and where to avoid, and tips on getting taxis or exchanging currency. Everyone in our group agreed that it was a great tour!

As a first time visitor to Prague, I knew I didn’t want to just wander aimlessly around attractions. Michael was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide who told us tales of history and lore. From nobles being thrown out of windows to the artistry of the John Lennon Wall, it was the perfect day. And just the right amount of time.

The guide was knowledgeable and engaged with all members of the group. Note that the tour gave a helpful overview but many sites would need to be visited again separately to appreciate fully.

Great walking tour, specially if you are on a limited schedule.

A fantastic tour by guide Honza that peels back the first layer of the Czech gem that is Prague. Breathtaking vistas and history made better by Honza's conversational style and enthusiasm for the city. Absolutely recommended to all!

This is a superb tour booked through viator and run by Michal who works for Explore Prague. Michal was really knowledgeable and engaging. The tour covered everything and so entertaining. We learnt so much and saw every point of interest in the ‘Leaser Town’ including a comprehensive tour of the Castle which is incredible. Highly recommend this tour in general and Michal in particular. On a short visit it’s the best way to learn a lot!!

Great guide. Funny, excellent English and an amazing amount of information! Mike brought maps and and some extra information to help frame and understand what we were seeing- he went through all the sites at a good pace. Fantastic afternoon.
