The Lost City Trek with Expotur was one of the best experiences of my trip to Colombia! The hike was challenging but incredibly rewarding — the landscapes are stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and reaching Ciudad Perdida felt truly special. Our guide Elizabeth was absolutely amazing — knowledgeable, funny, and full of passion for the history and culture of the region. Heberth, our translator, made sure everyone understood everything clearly and brought so much positive energy to the group. And we can’t forget Pichi, our fantastic cook, who somehow managed to prepare delicious meals in the middle of the jungle! Everything was perfectly organized, and I always felt safe and well taken care of. I did the trek with the Monkeys, and together we had an unforgettable time. Thank you, Expotur, Elizabeth, Heberth, and Pichi, for an incredible adventure — I’ll remember it forever! 💚🌿🇨🇴

Excellent tour – highly recommended! A really great experience! The hike was amazing but quite challenging – there’s a lot of climbing, so you need to be physically prepared. We returned through the jungle after dark, which was truly an unforgettable adventure! Jorge, Jhoan, Aldi and Eliecer were very professional and took excellent care of the group. I highly recommend this tour! Capibara team, Poland.

Elizabeth, Mani, and Pichi were all excellent as guide, translator, and cook. Would highly recommend them and this experience overall to anyone I know.

I had a really nice 4 day trip with Jhoan, Davide and Elicier. The guidance food and translations during the tour were outstanding. Alongside 8 different other people I really had a nice time ik exploring the trek to the lost city. Would most definitely recommend anyone to do the trip.

We did the 4 day hike to the lost city. It was really good, a little hard sometimes but it’s nice to have some challenge at times and a little sweaty. But with the guide Nelson it was all really good to do.

We, the Los Gringos had a great time in the jungle! It was an awesome trip with so much nature to explore, the camps were clean and the food was really nice! I would definitely book another trip with this group, any day of the week. Thanks Nelson, Duban, Ledys and the rest of the Gringos for the lovely adventure.

It was great! One of the best hikes in my whole life. The Sierra Nevada is so beautiful. And to see the lost city and everything about was worth every sweat I lost on the way! Thank you, group, it was an honor to meet everyone of you, and Superspecial thank to Carlos, Omar and Ismael. We couldn't have better guys with us as guide, translator and cook!

We really had an amazing experience with our lovely guide Omar, translator Carlos and our cook Ismael. It was truly unforgettable. Being in the beautiful jungle nature, meeting the indigenous community, feeling safe and comfortable in the presence of our funny and cordial guides. I would definitely recommend the trek with this company! ❤️

The trek is tough, but our group, Carlos and Omar made it a trip to remember! The food and snacks along the way are also delicious! Thank you Carlos and Omar!

- Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
- Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Travelers can leave the suitcase they do not wish to take on the tour at the Expotur main office at no additional cost. If you do not plan to return to Santa Marta on the last day of the tour, we can send your suitcases to the final point of the route in EL MAMEY where you can pick them up and then be taken to your destination.
- It is recommended to have the yellow fever vaccine as a preventive measure for the tour
