Punta Cana: Beyond Resorts – Half-Day Cultural Immersion

Robinson and driver were awesome. We saw a lot during this tour and my kids loved it too. We loved the local food and all the stops we made. Kids loved the horseback riding. We received a good glimpse into the Dominican culture for a few hours. Definitely recommend.

It was such a nice trip. Supper condensed with so much to see and feel. Guide, Robinson; driver, Sandy and his son and helper David were so nice, informative and made the trip fun. A trip you definitely need to do in DR.

It was a great tour and a great way to see a glimpse of Dominican life. However, the transportation is NOT air conditioned. The seats are quite small and tight. Sandy and his son David were great. Very attentive and friendly.

This Cultural tour was GREAT! We had an amazing guide who introduced us to so much culture. He was accommodating, and friendly! We spent just enough time in every place. The tour was well worth it!! When I come back I'm definitely doing this one again with my daughter, my only issue is it would have been nice if the tour guide spoke English so we could retain more of the information!!

This was great a little bit of the most important things. Francisco was phenomenal!! Best thing we did in the DR!!

It was great BUT it did say a 1/2 day tour and was picked up at 7:20 am and dropped back off at 4 pm. I didn’t mind but glad I didn’t have anything else on the schedule. The we’re very knowledgeable and make it really fun, he really made us feel like a family. We covered a lot of the area and saw so many things that you don’t see unless you can experience something like this. I loved how our tour guild got to know all of us a bit better and he cared about any needs we had. I had a great time leaving about Punta Cana.

Our guide and driver provided a really good experience for all the group. A real view of Dominican Republic.

Overall the intent of this tour is great. The places were great except the beach/horseback riding took place on a dilapidated beach. Poorly maintained. My rating came from three issues: 1. I received a notification that the pickup time has been moved back after I’d gone to bed. We eventually connected but there a window of panic as they had come and gone by the time we came down for our originally scheduled pickup time. He came back. 2. There was no narration to speak of. None of the tour guides spoke any English. So when we were in the vehicle or along the tour, we didn’t get a lot of history or narration. 3. The tour was supposed to be a half day getting back around noon. We got back at 4 pm. I intentionally selected this tour based on it being a half day.

The trip was excellent, all staff very good and fun to be with. People on trip all great fun. Didn't visit a river or water slide as in description. No horse ranch, horses were on beach which was first stop not later as advertised and maybe would have been better later in day. Overall great fun but booked for river and slide as well. Rum was flowing on bus and an excellent plus to staff for this.

Mike, our tour guide, did a fantastic job. We got to know so much about the country. This is really a complete amazing tour where everyone in the family enjoyed it.
