Mutianyu Great Wall & Beijing Gems: Exclusive Small Group Tour

Keith was a really good and pedagogical guide with clear instructions on meeting times, etc. The early start from the hotel made sure we had a really good experience at the Great Wall without too many people. Keith excellently adapted our walking through the Summer Palace when, either due to many people or due to rain, we could not go the regular way.

Keith was excellent driver and guide Good English speaking.Good lunch with chicken and veg options cooked in Chinese style.

Keith was a great tour guide. He gave us some good background about the Great Wall and guided us through all the logistics of the visit before giving us free rein to climb and explore the Wall as we pleased. I also appreciated that he started the tour early in the day because we were able to beat all the crowds. His tour of the Summer Palace was very humorous and provided such interesting history. He offered various options of what highlights we could visit within the humongous palace area so that we could pick what to prioritize. The van experience was also incredibly comfortable and convenient.

Going to the Great Wall was amazing! Our lunch was great! Tobogganing down the Great Wall was my highlight! Summer palace and boat ride option is a must!

Great Wall and summer palace, very good combination for one day tour, relaxing, not too much walking. Loved this tour, small gorup size, 5 people, very comfortable with a 7 seats van. Our tour guide is very nice as well, very helpful, and knowledgeable, provided lots of information about the attractions. We had lots of fun during the tour, highly recommended！

We beat the traffic and crowds. Sunday morning Comfy limo, small group. Even got dropped off at a theatre for acrobat at the end which was fabulous

Great tour with Suzi who fast tracked us to the great wall entrance, with the cable car lift and a thorough walk through the Summer Palace. She took us to a tea house for tea tasting. It was quite good. Extremely punctual pick up from the hotel and equally well timed drop off. It was great that with the peak travel season, everything went exactly to plan.

Had a great time. Tour had to be changed due to a military parade but they handled it well. Suzie, our guide, was excellent. Full of fun and enthusiasm. Met loads of new people, saw the Wall, had a fab day 🙂

The tour had to be changed at the last minute because the Mutianyu section was closed due to bad weather. Keith quickly arranged an alternative at a smaller, much less crowded section of the Wall, which turned out to be a great experience. His English is excellent. For lunch, however, we were taken to a large jade shop with an attached restaurant clearly intended for sales purposes. This stop was not mentioned in the program, and had we known in advance, we would have preferred to avoid it.
