iSimangaliso: Unforgettable Wetland & Wildlife Expedition

I booked my tour with Helen, she's an angel the booking was fast and smooth. Our tour guide was Terry, we had a great time with him, he's very knowledgeable about wildlife, he taught us alot. The moment that took the cup for me was when Terry set for us to have our picnic lunch overlooking the lake Catalina, that was an experience of a lifetime, Shout-out to Terry. We joined Heritage Tours on a Full Day Safari in iSimangaliso and we enjoyed it very much. Our Guide Terrance was perfect, he grew up in St Lucia and now works as a guide in the area. He knew everything and we loved to learn from him. Had multiple sightings of amazing animals. The blankets where a game changer and is a plus. Food was delicious as well. We really can recommend to go with Heritage Tours and hope you get Terry as a guide ;-)

Our guide TERRY was so good! He told us so many interesting infos about the animals and the environment of this beautiful park. We were very lucky to encounter a black rhino so close we could have touched it! Unforgettable experience

We did a one-day safari in iSimangaliso Wetland Park (Eastern Shores) with Heritage Tours and Safaris, and it was brilliant. Our guide, Arno, really made it friendly, full of interesting facts, and he was happy to stop whenever we wanted to take a photo or ask a question. We drove through so many different landscapes, from open grasslands to thick forest, and each one had something new to see. The weather wasn’t perfect, but we still went snorkeling at Cape Vidal and spotted a few fish. Over the day we saw loads of birds, several types of antelope, monkeys, hippos, crocs, buffalo, and rhino. Lunch in the park was excellent and tasty. There was something for everyone. It was an excellent day and I’d definitely do it again.

At first the weather was a bit of a problem, but our guide Luke was very professional and could ease our minds (having seen a rainbow played a great part at that). We saw lots of animals: including bushbuck, bufallo, red duiker, fish eagle, great heron, jakanas walking over water lilies etc. Luke explained a lot about the history and vegetation of the park. During midday we went snorkeling. Luke handled everything well so that my wife (first time snorkeling) felt safe and could have fun doing this activity. All in all five stars.

Terry is a fantastic guide! His passion & deep knowledge of flora & fauna of St Lucia parks & wetlands is incredible. He made the day an interesting educational experience whilst navigating the wetlands. We’ve been on many safaris & game drives but this was by far the most captivating

We had an amazing full day tour through iSimangaliso Wetland Park, and our guide Theo made it truly special. From the moment we met him, his warm personality, humor, and deep knowledge of the area stood out. He shared fascinating facts about the wildlife, nature, and local culture, and always took the time to answer our questions. Theo spotted animals we would have completely missed and made sure everyone got a great view. He was also incredibly respectful of the animals and environment, which we really appreciated. Beyond that, he created such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We laughed a lot, learned even more, and felt completely safe and well taken care of the whole time. You can tell he is passionate about what he does, and it made all the difference. Highly recommended. Thank you, Theo, for an unforgettable experience.
