It is a great experience, at over 11k feet the oxygen levels will have an effect on your functioning abilities. How many times will you have this opportunity, bring water, sit when you can and help whoever your with. I’m in my 60’s may be different for young adults.

If you do one thing in Switzerland, do this. Amazing experience. We went during the week in December so it wasn't overrun with skiers. Had a sunny day and the views were georgous. We also had great guides. I wish could remember their names (sorry). We went from Zurich and it was expensive but we'll worth the money. Do this!

This was a favorite excursion, in the many years I have visited places abroad. If you are not used to high elevations, 13,000+ feet above sea level, take caution. I had a head-cold and was dehydrated. So, I had a bit of uneasiness. I had to take it slow once we reached the highest excursion point. We were fortunate the weather cooperated with our trip. There were beautiful views of the mountains. The villages were awesome, including a few that reminded me of what small town life looked like in Switzerland. The accent and decent in the gondola provided miraculous winter mountain scenery. And yes, we did get to play in the snow. The driver, and I forgot his name, was outstanding. He was very skillful driving the large bus on the narrow roads to and from the tour. And, there were a few occasions he had to give the right of way because oncoming traffic made for dangerous maneuvering. Our guide's name was Lars. He was a very nice young man. I enjoyed the various bits of information he provided along the drive and the tour itself. He is a German that orated the tour in English and Spanish, which he spoke fluently. And, he jokingly showed that he was capable of speaking English in both neutral English and with a German dialect (very amusing). He was also engaging with off topic conversation in between lecturing. Lars also limited the conversation returning from the tour, allowing for the riders to nap. My wife and some family spent 13 days in four countries. This tour was one of my favorites. Don't let the price tag for the tour deter you, as I had initially. It was worth the money we spent to see one of the most beautiful sites of Europe.

Aldopha and Dan were great tour guides! We flew in from Boston, just took this tour on 12/7 and had a wonderful time. Bus station was easy to find in Zurich. The stop in Interlaken went by so fast. You only had an hour but was a nice town to walk through. Saw some paraglider(s). The ride out was pretty. Aldphoa was a great narrator. The ride to the top of Europe was neat. Couldn’t see anything since there was a snow storm but I’m happy I went. A great day! We were back in Zurich by 7:30 ish. Worth the excursion price, we would never have been able to do this on our own.

Excellent tour, staff were wonderfull. Surveys like this annoy the hell out of me, I will not complete another one.
- Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
- Service animals allowed
- Public transportation options are available nearby
- Specialized infant seats are available
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- As the Jungfraujoch is covered in snow all year round, we recommend bringing a warm jacket, shoes with a solid rubber sole and sun glasses to experience all indoor and outdoor attractions. Please note that there is no possibility to rent clothes or shoes on top of the Jungfraujoch.
- Routing and means of transport may have to be amended during maintenance work and depending on seasonal schedules without prior notice. A minimum stay of 2 hours on the top of Jungfraujoch is always guaranteed.
- Recommendations by Jungfrau Railways to enjoy the stay at high altitude: 1) You should be physically fit and healthy. 2) Good footwear is important for getting around safely. 3) Not recommended for pregnant women from the 7th month or with high-risk pregnancies, and for children under 2 years due to difficulties equalising pressure and insufficient fluid intake.
