What a fabulous place to visit! Absolutely stunning! We done the cable car, really enjoyed it but did find it quite expensive. €168 for 2 of us but we did love it. The only negative was the moody man working in the cable car café. Mont Blanc in general is an absolute 100% place to visit. We had delicious pizza in The Irish Coffee. Coffee in Rose du Pont. Everywhere is just stunning!

We have a fantastic experience. Tour guide: Chris from key tours was exceptional. We visited the beautiful Chamonix. Took a cable car up to first level which was just gorgeous and covered with snow. Due to weather conditions the summit level was closed. We visited chamonix town and then took a Mont Blanc mountain train to see the Glacier which was reached by another cable car. Views stunning from train, from viewpoint and at Glacier.

Our tour guide was excellent, he coordinated all people in the tour, explained very clearly what to expect, what we were going to do and see. We had a great time..

Our guide, David was AMAZING! Warm and full of information. Dress warm, it was rather chilly at the middle and top, before the sun came over the mountains.

We were "all in" and purchased the added train ride as well as the lift to near the summit of Mont Blanc. (We were driven in from Geneva.) What a day! What a view! Our weather was perfect, and our guide, excellent!

Chamonix and Mont Blanc are definitely worth visiting despite the abundance of tourists at both locations. For anyone with GF DF dietary requirements, Organic Epicerie in Chamonix was a awesome find for lunch. And unexpectedly one of the highlights for us was the enthusiasm and warmth of our guide, Chris and the competence of our driver, and the clear camaraderie between the two of them. We've had some experiences in the past with similar tours in other locations and other operators, where we felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff, whereas with the Viator team we appreciated the care and quality of their service.

We booked the basic tour but because we thought we may never visit again, we decided to spend the money for the gold experience. We’ve been on many tours, but never this expensive. It was truly worth every penny!

A wonderful day trip from Geneva. The bus ride was extremely comfortable with beautiful scenery along the way. We had lovely weather and greatly enjoyed walking around Chamonix. Highly recommend adding the train and cable car options. Amazing views and very fun experiences. Highly recommend this tour.

We very much enjoyed our day trip. We were disappointed that the train was being maintenanced, as this was the train was the main reason we booked this tour. Didn’t find out until we arrived on top of the mountain and had to spend the entire day in Chamonix. We would have canceled the trip if we would had known. Felt this was an expensive, considering we only got a bus ride to the mountain and a brief walking tour. We were refunded a nominal amount. Beautiful day… but you take the risk on what you can actually see/do.
- Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
- Public transportation options are available nearby
- Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Child rate applies only when sharing with 2 paying adults
- Cable car forbidden under 5 years
- Passport is necessary
- Please note that if you take the Aiguille du Midi and Mer de Glace options, you will be provided with a multipass. Multipass which gives access to all the facilities of the Mont Blanc company. If you use this Multipass for a single activity, it will be considered by the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc as used and cannot be refunded if the other activities are closed. The Mont Blanc company offers alternative activities but does not authorize refunds of the multipass.
- The train tickets includes the ice caves and the gondola (but these are not garanteed), the train can be open and not the cave, there is no refund is so because it's the same price
- The operation of the Aiguille du Midi cable car and Mer de Glace train are both subject to local weather conditions on the day. We cannot know if they open before we arrive there, it's a risk to take
- If one of the activity closes, there will be alternative offers, or partial refunds, but the transports won't be refunded in any case
- Please note that the official currency of France is the EURO. Swiss francs are unlikely to be accepted in Chamonix
- Please note: guide will be present with you on the bus and the village. You will have free time in the cable car or train and the guide will meet you after.
- Please note that due to maintenance works in Chamonix, some attractions will be temporarily closed: Mer de Glace (03.11 - 21.11) & Aiguille du Midi (03.11 - 19.12). Alternative tours will be offered during this period.
