Milford Sound: Exclusive Small Group Cruise & Scenic Lunch

This was one of our favorite days in NZ. Steve was such an incredible tour guide, I felt like I learned so much about daily life in NZ, the culture, the horticulture, botany, I mean you name it. He truly made the trip so special. The views and the stops were amazing. The boat tour on the smaller boat was amazing. I am very grateful we booked this tour!!!!!!! Do not hesitate, and book it!

Excellent day with tour guide Steven! From the moment he greeted me, he was warm and genuinely engaging. Full of knowledge that flowed out of him gently. He handled all questions with interest and appreciation for what was being asked. He LOVES this area, grew up and lives in Te Anau. He knows this area thoroughly and loves sharing everything with us! And Milford Sound!!! Stunning, love every minute on the boat. This was the correct way to do this trip to spend a few nights in Te Anau and be close to the Sounds. Doing Doubtful tomorrow!!

It was a distinct advantage in starting this tour from Te Anau early as it meant we missed the crowds arriving from Queenstown at Milford Sound This was exceptional value for money with Steve, our driver and tour guide being very informative, friendly and helpful. We had the opportunity of several photo opportunity stops to take in the fantastic scenery and we were blessed with lovely sunny weather both on the tour and on the Milford Sound scenic boat journey.

Our experience was simply, wonderful. The sights, the weather, our tour guide, the boat. Our tour guide Steve, really made the experience so much more, with his knowledge of local culture, customs, economics, biology, andgeology, (just to name a few!). He really helped us understand the area with his comparisons of New Zealand to our parts of the world. For example, in comparing the heights of local waterfalls to our waterfalls in the USA ( Niagra Falls). Not only did we see spectacular humbling natural beauty before us, but we left with a better understanding of the history and cultural background, all thanks to Steve’s passion!!

Steve made this trip a very fun and enjoyable experience, he is like a walking encyclopedia! Kept us engaged the whole trip and we got to stop and view so many scenic views, 10/10 Trip

Amazing small group tour to Milford Sound. Our tour guide/driver, Jeremy, was brilliant! Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and genuinely loved to show people this beautiful region. The stops along the way were amazing .. stunning scenery. Cruise was super fun..Steve, the skipper, was great. Loved the fact that we were in a smaller boat and in a minibus rather than one of the big group buses.

The rain is your friend! It creates the most incredible waterfalls. Steve was a fountain of info on the drive to and from and his courteous driving was relaxing

A great way to do Milford Sound. Smaller tour, better travelling times with safe driving. Tour was on time and handy for flexible pickups. Tour stopped at many highlights on the way so plenty of times for photos. Steve was excellent tour guide. A bonus to have a local who shared all the local knowledge & stories which really adds to the tour. Really recommend.

Pick up was for Te Anau but a location was provided where we could meet as we stayed in Manapouri. The narration was great, stops were incredible, lunch was very good, and because of the rain the boat ride into Milford Sound was astonishingly beautiful! I’d highly recommend Cheeky Kiwi’s tour!

We had a great day at Milford and in Fiordland NP. It was good to go with a small group. Steve was our guide and driver. He was great company and a walking Wikipedia on Fiordland and Milford Sound. We were able to stop at lots of places and never felt rushed and learned lots. Thanks Steve and thanks Cheeky Kiwi.
