Marsala Wine & Mothia: Sicilian Cellar Tasting & Lagoon Gems

The experience with Alessio was wonderful. My husband was unwell so it ended up being just me. The tour covered the Florio Winery and some of the Trapani salt pans, both absolutely fascinating and such important parts of Sicily’s history. Alessio was full of information, very personable, responsive and punctual. He indulged my flamingo chasing desires by stopping at little points to let me try to take photos. He also gave us great recommendations for Trapani and Erice. Highly recommend this experience. Just want to come back to western Sicily immediately— still so much to see!

An unforgettable experience! Alessio’s Mothia lagoon tour was rich with history and fascinating insights into traditional salt making. Following this, Alessio took us to the Pellegrino winery in Marsala. This experience was equally superb, with excellent wines and expert explanations by the winery’s host. Alessio’s knowledge, warmth, and attention to detail made this a truly exceptional day. Highly recommended!

We toured w/Alessio of Trapani Emotions on a lovely Saturday afternoon . We went on the Lagoon & Marsala Wine Tasting tour. We were met in Trapani and transported by comfortable van to see the salt pans ,and then onto a boat for a tour of the lagoon. From there we went to Marsala,and the Pelligrino Marsala wine tasting. Alessio was very knowledgeable and engaging; his van was comfortable ,clean ,and cool. We enjoyed every aspect of the tour and would recommend it!

Really nice tour with some historical information about the winery and Marsala in general. Food and wine were very delicious. The wine shop must not be missed as it’s a beauty!

Wonderful afternoon with Alessio. Great salt tour and boat tour in Marsala and he was extremely knowledgeable. We had also a tour at Florio that was presented by someone from the winery. Very interesting on the history of the winery but that was very expeditious.

We had the best time with Alessio. He picked us up from the airport and immediately took us out for a wonderful and knowledgable tour of the salt pans outside Trapani and the oldest winery in Marsala. At the end, he dropped us at our hotel and had some wonderful restaurant recommendations in town as well. If you are visiting Trapani, definitely book a tour with Trapani Emotions! P.S. we thought two nights would be enough, but wish we stayed another day just to keep eating!

Alessio was very knowledge about the area, and really accommodating of our needs, especially my elderly mom. The weather was rough but the salt flats were fascinating and the Marsala wine tasting excellent!
