Limassol Attractions
Guide to Limassol: how to get there and where to stay, what to see, and where to sunbathe. The most interesting in Limassol: are new reviews and photos, places to visit, branded entertainment, and beaches.
Limassol is considered the most cheerful and cosmopolitan city in Cyprus. The resort is also conveniently located near the island's main attractions: ancient Kourion and ancient Amathus, Paphos, and Ayia Napa. The very name "Limassol" means "Middle City."
Life at the resort does not stop even in winter: tourists come off in nightclubs, drink the best Cypriot wine, and have fun all day and night long. But do not think you can only meet "party" youth here - families with children also like to relax in Limassol (for little travelers, there are three water parks, an amusement park, and the only zoo in Cyprus in the city amusement park). A respectable audience is not parting with laptops even on the beach or in a bar.
EMEL operates Limassol's public transportation system. All her buses are air-conditioned, the driver sells tickets, and the entrance is through the front door. Bus number 30, the most popular among tourists, runs from 6:10 to 23:30 with an interval of 10-15 minutes. Its route passes through the city center and beach hotels in the tourist area. Bus number 17 from the Central Bus Station near the Old Hospital takes you to Kolossi Castle, 10 km west of the city. Bus number 16 is helpful for those who want to see the ruins of ancient Kourion and swim on the local beach. This page displays November 2021 rates.
