It was designed by architect Cesar Pelli and opened in 1988, as part of the World Financial Center. The atrium features a vast, sunlit interior with soaring palm trees, fountains, and seating areas, where visitors can relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The atrium has hosted numerous events over the years, including concerts, fashion shows, and art exhibitions. Since September 11, 2001, the atrium has been renovated and reopened as part of the Brookfield Place complex.
