1. Makapuu Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located on the easternmost point of Oahu, Hawaii. It stands at 46 feet tall and was first lit in 1909. The lighthouse is still active and serves as an important navigation aid for ships in the area. The surrounding area offers stunning coastal views and is popular for hiking, whale watching, and bird watching.

3. There is no admission fee to visit Makapuu Lighthouse. Visitors can park at the nearby Makapuu Lighthouse trailhead parking lot and walk about a mile on a paved trail to reach the lighthouse. Alternatively, visitors can also take the Makapuu Lighthouse Trolley Tour which offers transportation to the lighthouse, as well as other popular sites, for a fee.
