1. Owakudani, also known as the \"Great Boiling Valley,\" is a volcanic valley located in Hakone, Tokyo. It was formed over 3000 years ago by the eruption of Mount Hakone and currently emits hydrogen sulfide, giving the area a distinct odor. Visitors can take a cable car to see the active sulfur vents and hot springs in the valley, as well as enjoy views of Mount Fuji on clear days. Owakudani is also known for its black eggs, boiled in the sulfuric hot springs and believed to increase lifespan by seven years.

3. The Hakone Ropeway provides round-trip tickets from Togendai Station to Owakudani for 1600 yen per adult (as of September 2021). Discounts are available for children and groups.
