1. Zoorasia in Yokohama is a relatively new zoo that opened in 1999. It is unique in that it is designed to replicate the natural habitats of the animals, providing a more enriching and realistic experience for both the animals and the visitors. Zoorasia is home to over 150 species of animals, including elephants, tigers, giraffes, and many more.

One of the highlights of Zoorasia is its immersive exhibits, which allow visitors to feel like they are actually in the animals’ natural habitats. For example, the African Savanna exhibit features a large open area where animals can roam freely, giving visitors the feeling of being on a safari.

2. Zoorasia’s opening hours are from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM (last entry at 4:00 PM) from Tuesday to Sunday. The zoo is closed on Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a national holiday) and New Year’s holidays. You can contact them at +81 45-959-1000.

3. As of now, the entrance fee for adults is ¥800, while children (ages 6-15) are ¥200. Admission is free for children under 6 years old. Accessing Zoorasia is quite convenient as it is located within Yokohama Zoological Gardens and is easily reachable by public transportation, such as buses and trains.
