1. The Pyramid of Khafre is the second tallest and second largest pyramid at the Giza complex in Egypt, built during the Fourth Dynasty around 2550 BC. It was originally 143.5 meters tall, but has now lost its pyramidion and is around 137 meters tall. The pyramid is made of limestone and granite and was built using 2.3 million stone blocks. One interesting fact about the pyramid is that it still has some of its casing stones at the top, giving an idea of how smooth and polished the surface originally was. The pyramid also has two entrances, a lower and a higher one, which leads to a burial chamber that’s located approximately 34 meters underground.

2. The Pyramid of Khafre is open for visitors every day from 8 am to 5 pm. The phone number for the ticket office is (+20) 2-3900227.
