1. Sewu Temple, also known as Candi Sewu, is a Buddhist temple complex located in Prambanan, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It was built in the 8th century during the reign of the Mataram Kingdom and is the second largest Buddhist temple complex in Indonesia after Borobudur. The main temple structure is surrounded by 249 smaller temples, making for a grand display of ancient architecture. The temples are decorated with intricate carvings and sculptures, showcasing the skill of the ancient craftsmen. Interestingly, the temple complex was built to resemble a mandala, a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism.

2. The temple complex is open from 6 am to 5 pm daily. There is no phone available.

3. The entrance fee for international visitors is IDR 52,000 (approx. USD 3.50) per person and IDR 15,000 (approx. USD 1) per person for local visitors. Visitors can get there by taxi, motorbike, or public transportation.
