Kandy to Ella Train Tickets - Reserved Seats

We had wonderful stay in Sri Lanka. Beautiful nature, the kindest people, warm weather and great food. Our guide Pradeep Wickramage was the best, and showed us so much more than we pre booked. Bawantha was an absolute life saver! I had been looking at various ticket booking options and was coming from Colombo and booked the Kandy to Ella journey, and forgot to book my Colombo to Ella ticket! I only realised the day of! Bawantha was incredibly kind and found a solution for me, going way over and above. All train journeys appeared sold out on 12Go but he found a ticket. Thank goodness! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate his time and problem solving. He also gave me extra tips! I was also nervous about the e-ticket - the trains in Sri Lanka seem so confusing. But he was reassuring, I got my ticket no problem and was lucky with a window seat. Second class is very comfortable and a perfect journey! I highly recommend booking and Bawantha is the best! Mahaweli and Chanaka went above and beyond to make my time, and that of my colleagues, an exceptional experience. From personal travel advise and specific tips to arranging private drivers for long stretches to finding second class (the best class, hot tip!) train tickets from Kandy to Ella on a 48 hour notice, Chanaka, with support from his team, made every thing we wanted to do happen. He was kind, knowledgeable and respectful, and helped make a bunch of queer, femme folks feel safe and comfortable exploring beautiful Sri Lanka. Through my direct connection with him (he was our driver and support person while, he also gave advise and tips to many many others, who all benefited from his care and expertise. Had a really good experience working with Mahaweli Drivers at the Nyeleni Forum in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Because of this trusted and positive experience we reached out to access private guided tours to a handful of places we wished to visit in a short period of time. Came Chanaka. The process was very easy and communication via What's App so easy. Also I required a car service from my Colombo Hotel to Kandy and from Ella back to the Colombo Hotel. All arranged before I left my home country - seamless! And the quality of vehicles and drivers - the best!! Highly recommend! It will enhance your Sri Lanka experience.

the views from the train were beautiful. tour provider is not a scam however they forgot to send us tickets the day before, so we were struggling to get in contact with them in the early morning of our trip. anyways everything went perfectly fine, and the provider was very nice too.

Great experience I would definitely recommend pre booking your seat. The operator booked a return car for us, which was also a great scenic route. Guide operator very professional stayed in contact with us throughout the day to check everything was OK and arrange return transport
