We had a great experience going to Hallstatt, it is such a beautiful part of the world. The scenery along the way is just gorgeous and the bus trip was fun with good commentary of the area. The town is so picturesque and stunning, you won't regret going there. We unfortunately could not make the sound of music part of the tour due to unforeseen circumstances, therefore I can't comment on that part of the tour.

The trip takes you all the way back to Salzburg to then drive half way back to Hallstatt to start the Sound Music tour. Way too much time in a coach, they need to make this a single journey! Separately great trips bit together not well arranged.

This was a fantastic trip. The guide was wonderful and the scenery was spectacular. Couldn’t ask for a nicer time. I highly recommend this tour.

Needs to be known that this is not a full day tour. It is 2 separate tours returning to the start location after the first one. Overall it is almost 5 plus hours in a bus and after the first tour for the second you will take the same 1 hour drive back to the same location - wasting a lot of time. Also Hallstatt at the time we got there (930am) most stores were closed and by the time you are leaving (12pm) they just start opening up but no time for a proper meal. We travelled with a 2 year old and no real time to stop off and get anything to eat for lunch given the 2 hour drive back then immediately needing to get on the second tour bus which is non stop for 4 hours ( most of that time is spent driving back to same area). The tour guides themselves were really nice and friendly - which is a plus and very knowledgeable giving lore on the way there and back. Overall not a bad tour but felt like it wasted a lot more than than was needed. This should have been rethought and actually a combination of the tours where you begin with the sound of music locations since those are en route to- making your way up towards Hallstätt and the other village - having longer to spend (and eat) then the drive back.

It’s a long day but with it. Both of our tour guides were great. We had Jose and April. FYI you have to change buses.

The Hallstatt tour was amazing!! There were some lovely little markets to see. The best part was the snow! First time experience playing in it!! The sound of Music Tour was amazing too!! Our guide was Jose and he was amazing!! He had us all singing and was a lot of fun!! Thank you!

Our tour guide April was the star of the tour with an energy and knowledge about the sound of music that together with the locations we visited made the whole experience a fun time. My wife who is a bit of a fan of the movie was smiling and singing along for the entire tour. The visits to Hallstatt and Mondsee were great introductions and beautiful stops in their own right. Our driver Evo took us around safely and comfortably and he an April were a dynamic duo. Would recommend this your tour to anyone who is a fan of the movie and the special Salzburg and lake town scenery.

Both the Hallstatt and Sound of Music tours were wonderful. Different vibe - Hallstatt scenic with great information on the route and a beautiful view of the Alps. SoM tour was rollicking and fun- so much information presented in a fun way with a very loving and respectful tone. Our tour guide, Jose was spectacular!

I did both the Hallstatt and Sound of Music tours in one day. They were amazing! Hallstatt was breathtaking and April and Alex made the Sound of Music Tour so much fun! I definitely recommend doing both. When booked together it is a seamless transition from one tour to the next.
