Awesome experience. Do whatever you have to to wait for a tour with a beefeater. Give yourself 2-3 full hours there. Tons of cool history.

This is great family day out, very interesting, lots to see especially with the poppies. However we paid extra for the audio tour which i have to say is AWFUL!! There is no flow to the tour, the name on the signs within the grounds/tower do not correspond with the names given on the audio tour. We had to ask one of the very helpful volunteers who said they are told all the time how awful it is to understand and yet the powers that be do NOTHING about it! Absolute shame on you. I have used the audio tour in many other places that works very well by numbering where you are, the numbers then corresponding with the numbers on the audio...how easy that should be to do here. The best part of the audio tour was the White Tower which was easier to follow. Please for the sake of the nation - CHANGE IT!!! In my opinion dont waste your money paying for the audio tour.

The history behind the Tower of London was fascinating and the architecture is well preserved. The highlight was the visit to the crown jewels for which we had to wait in a long line, but it was worth it!

A full sweep of British history: Crown Jewels, Yeoman Warder tours, and walkable walls. Go early for the Jewels to avoid the longest line and allow at least 2 hours. Wind off the river can bite—bring a layer.

We had an incredible visit to the Tower of London. We went in without knowing they offered guided tours, but happened to come across one led by Yeoman Warder Hardy — and what an amazing surprise it was! He was absolutely fantastic — full of energy, humor, and genuine passion for history. His storytelling made centuries-old events feel alive and engaging, and he had everyone laughing and learning the whole time. It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip!

The guided tour was fun and educational, and seeing the Crown Jewels was an unforgettable experience for all of us. It’s a great mix of history and excitement, perfect for families who want to explore together.

Took my mom on a 5 day birthday trip to London and visited the Tower of London on our first day. We were lucky to catch a tour with Yeoman warder Darren Hardy who made our visit super special. He was very informative and funny. Thanks for a great tour and making our time at the Tower extra special. If you are interested in history you should definitely visit the Tower of London. There is so much to see. We were there for 3 hours.

We ended up touring by ourselves. Could not find our tour guide. Did meet up with a Beefeater that was giving a presentation to a huge group. Could have gotten that for free. Save your money and just buy a ticket at the venue.

We wanted to see the poppies so paid to go into the castle again ,although we havd been quite recently. The tours by the beefeaters are really interesting and entertaining. We enjoyed seeing the ravens, the amazing armoury exhibition and the crown jewels exhibition. Just walking around this extraordinary place is fascinating. The cafe was well run and spacious and fairly priced. The poppies cascading down and also set as in a crown are wonderful to see. It helped that the sun shone and we walked along the river bank first. Be aware that if you have not pre purchased your tickets the ticket office is to the right hand side of tower as you walk down to the river. It has buses, underground and light railway are very close as well as a mass of restaurants, bars etc. The usual entrance is being rebuilt so access is past the traitors gate on the river front. It was £28.50 for a discounted ticket.

There are a lot of steps in some of the buildings and it rained so the tour had to be stopped which was a shame as it was really good.
