Auschwitz-Birkenau: Profound Guided Memorial Tour from Krakow

Very well organised . The driver kept us well updated with pick up times . The packed lunch he provided was excellent and good value for money

2nd time visiting and still in awe of it. Trip was very well organised, no waiting around and very well communicated. Comfortable drive and friendly driver.

We were informed the night before of our pick up time and instructions on what to bring. We got picked up from our hotel on time. The tour was well organised and Igor was an excellent tour guide.

The driver communicated with us and was there on time-early even! He explained exactly what we were seeing as we approached.

Transfer were faultless, turned up exactly when they said he would. Arthur was a great driver and arranged a good lunch for a great price. We were in a group of 30, which was far too many. The guide was very informative and knowledgeable. Sadly everything was very rushed, he was talking about certain things in the rooms and back out again even before we had entered so wasn’t sure as to what he was looking at sometimes or talking about. This isn’t the sort of tour that should be rushed. It’s about learning what atrocities occurred here and remembering the dead. Also getting a feel of how things must of been for them. Not to be whizzed round because it’s a money exercise.

Great communication from our driver Lukas, messaged the afternoon before with his details and confirming our pick up time and location, offered packed lunches and asked if we had any questions. Morning of the trip we were picked up on time, arrived early and skipped the queues. Took around 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there and the tour itself was around 4 hours long including the second camp. Tour guide was well knowledgable which added to the experience. Would highly recommend booking.

We were on a tour which really gave us a detailed look at both places. An experience no one should miss if you are in the area. We were there on a cold and rainy day and had multiple layers on and to think about the victims who had to live here without any clothes to speak of gave us a better understanding off the horror of the place. It was an experience to see things we had only read about. The two museums are separated by a distance of about 1 km. Also from where you park at Birkenau you have to walk a little ways. There are clean restrooms. There is also a gift shop with books in multiple languages as well as vendors near the parking lot at Birkenau. There are places within Auschwitz that you are not allowed to take pictures and flash photography is not allowed inside the buildings.

Overall an eye opening experience, the only problem was the tour itself felt rushed and was extremely busy. It was good to have the headphones and radio so we could hear what the tour guide was saying but due to other groups on top of us we really struggled at times to hear what she was saying so probably missed a lot of the information. The Birkenau tour should also have had the headphones and radio as I don’t think we heard much of what happened there due to our tour guide walking quickly. We were unable to keep up due to having two elderly ladies with us that struggled to walk on the uneven floor.

Thanks to Konrad for a well organised day. Was picked up exactly at the specified time. Which had been moved slightly earlier (6:20am, still reasonable), tickets ready for entry on arrival which got us straight into the tour. The provided lunchbox was also good, though a little expensive. The tour Itself was good, a very informative guide, and parts of it very moving. Be sure to dress warm as there its lots of it outside and standing, so you can get cold if not wrapped up (December) properly. Would recommend this operator to anyone I know going, especially with some others seemingly not having tickets and taking people to queue for them on the day.
