Rafa was an AMAZING tour guide! He was detailed in his information about Chichen Itza, and other stops along the way. He was a wealth and knowledge, and truly passionate about his culture.

best tour i did in Yucatan. My tour guides were Norma and MotoMoto and they made the experience very enjoyable and interesting. Their knowledge about the site their humor, and their kindness really helped me overcome some anxiety I had because I was doing this tour solo. The only problem was the pick up. My reservation said a different time from what the tour guides had, so I had to wait for 40 minutes and nobody was replying to my calls and texts, i really thought they will not come to pick me up. At the end it was a misunderstading, the bus came and i could enjoy the tour and the experience.

I expected this excursion to be a cultural and educational experience — a chance to see real Mexican heritage and enjoy authentic food — but unfortunately, it felt more like a constant push to spend money. The trip started off disorganized. We weren’t told until about 12 hours before that we needed to book our own Uber to a pickup point, which was inconvenient and stressful. Before even boarding the coach, we were asked to pay an additional $42 to enter Chichen Itza — effectively doubling the cost of the tour. Our first stop was supposed to be an “authentic” cultural visit, but instead, we were dropped off at a gift shop where we were followed around by vendors and asked for even more money to have our names translated into Mayan. Chichen Itza itself was absolutely stunning, and I’m glad we got to see it. However, the issues continued. At the cenote stop, there were extra fees again — this time for life jackets and lockers. After swimming, we had a buffet lunch, which was honestly the worst meal of our 9-day holiday. The food was bland and definitely didn’t taste like traditional Mexican cuisine as we had hoped. Drinks weren’t included and had to be paid for separately. It’s such a shame, because our guide Rafa was brilliant — very knowledgeable and funny — but the constant upselling and poor organization really ruined the experience. To top it off, we were dropped off on a random street at 9pm with no phone signal or battery, expected to find our own taxi after a 12-hour day. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this trip to family or friends. It had so much potential, but it felt like profit came before experience.

This tour was incredibly well-planned and perfectly timed. The day is long, but the time truly flies because it’s such an immersive experience. Between the walking, the delicious food, and the rich cultural history, it’s a fantastic way to step outside the resort and really experience Mexico. Raphael was the absolute best host! He was engaging, knowledgeable, and very down to earth.I also appreciated that he gave us plenty of space to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed or pressured. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a full, authentic experience!

This was an amazing tour! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Rafa made it an experience we’ll never forget. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Mayan culture and history, and as a Mayan descendant himself, he shared personal insights and stories that made everything even more meaningful. Rafa took the time to educate us on the history, cultural significance, and deeper meanings behind what we saw. His passion and connection to his heritage truly brought Chichén Itzá to life. We left with a much deeper appreciation for the site and the Mayan people. Highly recommend this tour and Rafa as your guide!

Luis and Cesar were fantastic, they made the tour so much fun. We got picked up from our resort around 7am and got back around 8pm, long day but its all organized super well and gives you a good amount of time at each stop. I would definitely recommend it, once in a lifetime experience for me and I have no regrets. Again, Luis gave us the tour around Chichen Itza and i'm so glad we had him as our guide, super knowledgeable about mayan history and just very personable. Same for Ceasar, I think they made the whole experience even more special.
