We boarded the red line bus ready to start our day with the Auckland Sky Tower Stop 2. Once on our way from stop 1 the bus went straight past stop 2 without prior advice. We ended up staying on then when we arrived at the war memorial, we were advised bus changing to the blue line. We quickly departed bus to run to the bus in front which was red but pulling away. Fortunately they saw us running and stopped. We then continued around the red line back to stop 2 - 60 minutes later for the Auckland Sky Tower. Commentary didn’t match location. Aircon on one bus not working. After the sky tower we went to Parnell St for a snack. Then back on the bus to come back to port. A fair wait in time between buses. Might have been cheaper to uber for two persons. The staff were friendly

Apart from a bit longer wait than 30 minutes at one stop, it was a great way to see a bit more of Auckland. Would do it again.

If you only are in Auckland for a short time this tour is definitely the best way to see this city Great sightseeing tour

When cruising, you have limited time in port. So a Hop-on, Hop-off bus is the perfect way to get the feel of a city. This tour was no exception. Plenty of stops at major attractions, good commentary onboard, well organised staff at major stops for ticketing and route changes.

The first part was nice. The attendant helpfully explained the routes and made sure we got on the first stop. After that, things turned sour. We waited close to an hour (not the 30 mins as advertised) and once we finally got on a bus, there was no narration. When I asked the driver, he said “I can’t help you.” So we basically just drove around on a city bus with no actual tour. Then at one point we either ran into a tree branch or a tree branch fell on us, shattering the window. And after doing a safety check on the passengers, the driver just kept going with a shattered glass window on the upper level. Seemed strange.

Very hilly city. Not easy walking. Long distance between stops. Busses are very nice, some open top.

Buses are only every 30 mins and dont keep to any schedule so waited around for ages for each bus. Went to stop 1 for 11 am bus today which is when it was scheduled to leave and watched it leave at 10.55pm as we were walking up to it. - so angry. Very short day too so definately didnt get value for money as only got on bus twice in whole day Dont bother unless you like waiting aimlessly for buses without any knowledge of when it will arrive. Worse hop on bus ever done across various cities snd countries

Good trip around Auckland. A little confusing, though. There are two routes that intersect at the museum. We got on a "red" bus and after the museum the narration said "you're now on the blue route". So staying on the bus meant you were doing both the red and blue. Not what we expected as it gave us a two hour trip instead of one hour. But we saw a lot more of the city that way so all's good.

Enjoyed seeing various parts of the city. Audio was okay. Equipment was clean and functioning well. Stayed on time.
