Breathtaking Inca Trail: 4-Day Machu Picchu Trek Expedition

Incredible once in a lifetime four day hike through some of the most spectacular scenery I have ever seen. The speed and professionalism of the porters was an inspiration. The high standard of the food inexplicable; unbelievable to see the chef pass us each day carrying a huge bag ready to serve us a feast later one. Our guide, Edwin, was funny and relaxed in just the right measures allowing us to discover the route on our own whilst still giving us enough information about what was to come to be properly prepared. His stories at dinner time, like the rest of the journey, were unforgettable. We're all just waiting for him to write a book of them so we can read more. Thanks to all at Alpaca, I'd recommend them to anyone.

Great help by Alpaca especially the guides Fletcher and Elder made our trip more easy. Being local to Cusco the travel experience is great. Great Atmosphere of overall food, the Porters and the Chefs made great delicious food.

I have done Inca Trials 4D and 3 N trek with Alpaca Expeditions. I have thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We had great guides and especially Flecher (main guide) and Elder have been awesome. They have been thorough and helped us every step of the way. Food was fantastic and even accommodated our especial requests. Our porters were really helpful. I recommend Alpaca expeditions any one that want to go on Inca Trail hike.

I recently completed the 4-day Classic Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu with Alpaca Expeditions, and it was truly the highlight of my travels so far. Our guide, Edwin QV, made the entire journey an amazing experience. Edwin was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about Incan history, the local culture, and the importance of certain sections throughout the hike. His passion for the region really brought each site to life. On one of the earlier days, when I wasn’t feeling well, Edwin was extremely caring and ensured I had everything I needed to recover and continue comfortably. He also made the trek fun and engaging, keeping spirits high with his great sense of humor and amazing stories. Thanks to Edwin and the entire Alpaca Expeditions team, this became my favourite hike to date. I can’t recommend Edwin and Alpaca Expeditions highly enough. If you’re considering the Inca Trail, Edwin is the person to go with!

The Inca trail was such a great experience both during the trekking days and the final day when we got to visit Machu Picchu. The trekking days were made so smooth by the hard work of our porters. Our chef Gregorio and our amazing guides Edward and Ethel. Edward was amazing in helping us through the hike as well as teaching us about the history of the Inka civilization. He also had great banter during the evenings and during meal times. Overall I am very happy to have gotten the Alpaca team we did and highly recommend them for anyone looking to do this challenging hike!
