Unforgettable Galle: Safari, Sea Turtle & Stilt Fishermen

We did an all day trip and had a fantastic time. We had so much fun on the river safari and saw a variety of animal, the monkeys came down to take fruit from us! Dinesh was our driver for two separate trips and he was lovely and everything was highly organised and efficient! Couldn’t recommend this tour enough!

Amazing tour! Very accomodating and helpful staff. Was so fun seeing and even holding the little turtles and trying out stilt fishing. Our river guide Harry was amazing. So good at spotting so many animals and very friendly. We had an awesome day! Highly recommend

We had an amazing day out, also with driver Dinesh who was considerate. Early start for the river cruise which was really great. Managed to see so much before other tours started. Amazing how the guide could find so many things camouflaged along the river! The trip to the temple was both beautiful and fascinating. The turtle conservation was great and the insight from the guide was brilliant. The tsunami museum was insightful but poignant especially from the owners firsthand experience. Galle fort was nice although extremely hot. Finally, slight disappointment with the stilt fisherman as best to see them early morning or evening

From start to finish we had the most wonderful experience. Our driver Dinesh was absolutely superb,very friendly and accomodating. The highlight of the tour for us was the safari boat. Nihad was very knowledgeable and with his eagle eye managed to spot lots of wildlife for us to photograph. The best tour so far. Highly recommend .

The trip was truly captivating, we could visit whatever we wanted to see in Galle, as well as taking suggestions from our amazing driver Pasindu. Who was very knowledgeable and chivalrous. It was extremely helpful having the ability to customise your day around your travel curiosities rather than a preset routine trip, each experience is unique to you.. We visited Kande Vihara Temple, to take in some local culture and Princess gems for a background into the Sri Lankan gem mining history, a 2hr river safari seeing the mangroves, crocodiles and other wildlife. Then a drive to Galle to visit the fort and town. On the way back we visited Tsunami Honganji Viharaya and the Induruwa Sea Turtle Conservation Center, which is a must do to support the work they do, there's nothing like holding a baby turtle! All the locations were fun, factual and interesting. Dealing with Sam at Bentota Travel Mart was easy and seamless, it made arranging our trip so hassle free, would definitely recommend. Thanks.

Brilliant trip to see lots and lots of sights all in one! We were collected from the hotel by our driver in a lovely a/c vehicle with water bottles. He was friendly and explained stuff to us on the way to each sight. We got to see - 🐢 turtle sanctuary 🛶 Bentota river jungle cruise 🐊holding a baby crocodile 💎 crystal museum 👺 Sri Lankan mask factory 🏯 Dutch fort 🎣 stilt fisherman This was just amazing! Our driver knew the quickest routes to get us from a to b and even pointed out extra things such as some tea plants growing and he stopped to allow me to get out and smell and take some pictures. He was very kind and gave me lots of cough sweets! Our river cruise boat driver was also amazing- he was so kind and managed to get us to see an adult crocodile! We did not expect this as we know this is rare. He provided us with fresh pineapple and coconut too. All in all this was a BRILLIANT day trip and if you want to see lots in one I would 100% recommended. Thanks again guys 😁😁

We did this tour today, what a fantastic experience! From the moment we were picked up at our door through to our return we loved every minute of our day. Such a variety of experiences. Our favourite was the river safari, our skipper on the boat was Harindra and he was a highlight in himself showing us an area he knows and loves. Highly recommend this day tour.

A highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. We especially enjoyed the river cruise and the turtle conservation project. Our river cruise guide was so friendly and knowledgable about the wildlife. It was so amazing to see him point out lizards, crocodiles and different birds to us. Our driver Dinesh was a safe and friendly driver who was willing to accomodate our questions and extra stops (such as for an ATM). A great day trip options to see lots of things in one day!
