Breathtaking Trapani Salt Pan Tour: Ancient White Gold

Alessio was a charming and very informative guide who ensured a good understanding of the salt processes and landscape. We visited with just one other couple which made the trip very personal and enjoyable. We booked late and took the afternoon tour at 1600 which allowed us to finish the visit watching the sun go down with a spritz!

If you plan on visiting Erice in the same day, do it in the morning and then you can really appreciate the salt pans from way on top of the mountain. Don’t miss it.

After we booked an English tour of the salt pans and museum with Alessio, he contacted us to say our sunset tour would be Italian-only. We accepted it all the same because we really wanted to go on it. In fact, during the first half, we were given brief English explanations after all, then when we got to the museum, Alessio had arranged for us to join an English-speaking group, where we filled in on all the rest. We joined them at the second stop, but the museum guide repeated the first stop at the end especially for us. The description on Get Your Guide doesn't do justice to the real tour. Instead of just quick photo stops, Alessio always stressed that we should take our time and take as many photos as we liked. We've been on other salt tours in the past, but this was definitely the best and we can't praise Alessio enough.

This was my second tour to the Salt planes with Alessio - after three years. As soon as I knew i will be coming back to Trapani, there was no doubt that I will get in touch with him for a tour. Alessio is trustful, punctual and he is a captivating speaker! He has all the information about the salt times (not only) and he truly likes his work and the places he helps us to visit. I also "booked" him for the transport to the airport early in the morning. Being in touch with him via Whatsapp for anything, and already knowing that he is punctual and responsible made me fell calm and with no stress related to the early transport to the airport. Therefore, really yes, I can fully recommend Alessio (and his company) for any action! :)

My family and I had such a fantastic time with Alessio today during the Salt Pan tour in Trapani. Alessio was very well informed and shared so much interesting information regarding the Salt Pans and their history - you can really tell he is so passionate about not only the history of the Salt Pans, but also about his culture and his country. The entire process from booking to attending was so seamless. The van was clean and well air conditioned. If I could rate this tour higher - I would!!!
