Belfast's Unforgettable Journey: Conflict to Coexistence

This walking tour was a highlight of my time in Belfast. Our guide was not only knowledgeable about Belfast’s history, but also passionate in her presentation. I highly recommend this tour, especially on your first day of visiting the city.

The Troubles was incredibly powerful. Chris our guide insight and honesty was so inspiring and really made it hit home what happened. Belfast is a wonderful city and this tour is a must to fully appreciate the history and how far they have come today! Get it in your things to do list it won’t disappoint!

Excellent tour about the history of the city. It covers the political landscape that led to how the city is today while also visiting key spots. Our guide was lovely and made our introduction to the city seamless.

Chris was an excellent guide! We learned so much about Belfast and the events that took place during the troubles. The stops were frequent enough that it was not tiring, and each stop was at an important location in history!

Chris gave an unbiased account of the dramatic events that tool place in Belfast during the terror years. Very ‘interesting’ to say the least.

Very History Rich tour of Belfast’s troubled past and developing future. Roisin was a great guide! A new appreciation for Belfast’s history (and Ireland’s as a whole) and current political challenges Northern Ireland (or the “North of Ireland”). As a Catholic American of Irish decent I found the discussion to be very neutral and focused on both sides of the issue leaving the participant with all the info they need to draw their own conclusions. I personally think it’s very good that things seem to be working themselves out non-violently and there seems to be hope for the People of Ireland no matter what side of the border they fall on. Chris was a brilliant guide! He delivered a rather sombre topic with compassion and real neutrality. He managed to bring to life what I only saw on tv as a kid, and relay (being someone who grew up in Belfast) what life had been like living through the troubles. The pace was very pleasant for a walking tour. The use of a mic/headsets meant we covered so much information, without it being too strenuous a walk.
