This was a great tour. We did an early tour, starting at 10.30, and as other reviewers recommended, came hungry (we skipped breakfast). We started out at BakaBaka with tea/coffee and different pastries. We than went to Messinn where we enjoyed two fish dishes (panfried arctic char and Plokkfiskur) - both were wonderful. Next was Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur for the famous Icelandic hot dogs. At Íslenski Barinn we had lamb soup and for those who wanted, fermented shark. The tour ended with rye bread ice cream and tea/coffee at Café Loki. Rye bread ice cream sounds strange perhaps, if you have never had it, but it tasted good and the flavor was less strong then I had imagined (just Google it). The food we had at the different places was very good, I enjoyed it very much. There was also plenty of it. What I really liked is that we got to taste many different typical Icelandic dishes in a single tour. Your tour may go to different place and enjoy different dishes, but I am confident the food will be very good and interesting, and you will sample some typical dishes. Apart from the food, we has a great tour guide (Tómas Howser) who was very friendly, knew a lot about Iceland and seemed to enjoy being our guide. He provided information about the food we ate and on the way from one restaurant to another pointed our some famous buildings and landmarks in Reykjavik. He also had some great tips about places to visit in Iceland. Finally, we had a fun, friendly group of people from different countries. We do not typically do organized tours while on vacation, but I am glad we did.

Fantastic Food Tour! Our guide Dagur was awesome! He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and well prepared. He was able to answer all our questions about Iceland and provide us with Icelandic history and recommendations. Our food was ready for us at each stop when we got there. The food selections were amazing! One of best Food Tours we have been on across the world!

One of the best food tours I’ve ever done! The food was great, but our guide Stevie was superb!! He was so knowledgeable, personable & gave us so much insight into Iceland history and food. Would highly recommend! Request Stevie for sure.

Our guide Lenny was friendly and knowledgeable. Every food choice was delicious. Lenny shared his family's history and the foods that make him think of home, it was a mini walking tour of the downtown area of Reykiavik. It was all within a 0.5mi/0.8km from the meeting point but was a nice walk. If you go in fall/winter it will be dark by the time you are done with the first or second restaurant.

We love our Food Tour with Bonnie. She is fun, charming, and knowledgeable. The food we tried was of a good variety and surely filled you up. We would definitely recommend this walking food tour, and if you are lucky, you will get Bonnie as your guide. She even gave you a coupon for a free hot dog at the famous hot dog stand, which we did not visit because the line was too long. There is only 1 thing I wish the tour or Bonnie would do differently. I would suggest Bonnie use a bright jacket or carry a large, bright umbrella, rather than a blue backpack, for easy identification at the meeting point. I asked 3 different people when I was waiting, and they all carried a blue backpack. 8-)
