Lyon: Ancient Alleys & Silk Secrets Walking Tour

Excellent tour with guide Paul. We were a little late and we joined the group with ease. We learned a lot about Lyon in short space of time and he was helpful with suggesting things to do and places for food and drinks We would highly recommend!

Amazing tour! Our tour guide, Paul, was passionate about showing Lyon. He explains the history very well and doesn’t rush you during the 2 hours. He also tries to get to know the people in the group so it feels more personal. At the end, he provides great tips and tricks around the city and gave us a nice lunch spot. We enjoyed his first tour so much we went back the second day for a different one. He really made our trip to Lyon very enjoyable!

Very interesting tour of the areas around Vieux Lyon. Paul told us a lot about the history, the street art and the culture of Lyon. Although the pace was fast, it was very rewarding and so so much better than walking on your own, missing out on all the hidden gems!

Good tour, a lot of information, tips for restaurants 👍 It's obvious Paul knows a lot about the city. A group of students that also participated on the same day was a little annoying. Bigger groups are in general more difficult to handle. Maybe worth reconsidering the number of participants.

We highly recommend booking Paul’s tours of Lyon. We liked the first one so much we came back for the second tour the next day. Both tours provided a good overview of the city’s history and packed with interesting details. It was also great to get a peak in traboules that many would never notice or see. With only a few days in Lyon the few hours spent on Paul’s tours were so well spent!

It was a wonderful experience to take this tour with our fabulous guide, Paul. Without him, we would never have uncovered so much. He was warm, witty, and incredibly knowledgeable, and the tour instantly became one of our highlights. We also learned that Lyon is basically a city with a secret hobby: hiding traboules everywhere. No tourist map warns you about them, of course. Wandering through these hidden courtyards felt amazing.
