We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide Alex. He was very knowledgeable and very thorough with the description of various Greek mythology & information about each site visited. The climb was a little taxing & best to wear rubber soled footware. especially when walking on uneven marble pathways. We give this tour a 5 star plus & recommend this.

"Alternative Athens" provides the ideal walking tour which incorporates the underlying Greek mythology with the historical. Phryne was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide, and she was very watchful over our group of wanderers (about 10 of us). The 4 hours fly by quickly, and at the end of the tour you can explore the Ancient Agora and its museum on your own (highly recommended). I also recommended purchasing the entry tickets in advance, which were then handed out to each of us at the start of the tour. A lot of great photo opportunities throughout the tour.

I can’t imagine experiencing this tour any other way. Alexandros was an amazing guide and expertly wove together history, architecture, mythology and modern times. It was time very well spent.

This Acropolis tour was absolutely amazing!!! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable! She really knew the history and the mythology and shared so many fascinating details! She was also so kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I learned so much and had such a wonderful time! Highly recommend this tour!✨

Elena was an exceptional guide! She kept a diverse group entertained, engaged, and even enthralled as she brought legends and history to life. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and attentive, making sure everyone had a valuable experience. We highly recommend taking this tour with her!

Incredible experience. Our guide, an archeologist, was so informative, thoughtful and nice. You can’t get all the information from the signage.

I had a great time on this tour. The things we saw were amazing, and the stories told and narration done by Elena was very good, and made it even more enjoyable. Going to acropolis is way better with a tour like this.

Very enjoyable. Our guide was an archeologist, friendly and very knowledgeable. The group wasn’t too big. There’s lots of walking and climbing stairs on the route but at a nice pace and with so much to see and learn along the way.
