I paid for the uncertified guided diving and it was one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever been on. My guide constantly was tapping me instructions every 20-30 seconds giving me hand signals beyond the 3 hand signals they taught. The dive was shallow (2-3m tops) and I was unable to swim and navigate due to the literal hand holding in which he locked his entire arm around mine and I was unable to use it at all for the entire dive. I have done similar uncertified dives In the past and have never been linked arm to arm/hand in hand with the staff for the entire experience. When I brought up issues with staff after they were ignored, when I was paying I was asked if everything was good and I simply said it could have been way better. I was more than willing to pay but the dive manager was combative and just weird about the whole thing. He kept saying “why are you being like this” when I was telling him how frustrated the experience was… after being asked. When I stated he had asked about my experience he laughed at me and said he never asked me to share, that was his staff that asked, and in fact the staff at the register isn’t his staff… cuz I needed to know the staffing structure? It was such a weird way to handle a little bit of criticism. I was labelled as difficult and treated horribly after simply saying I didn’t enjoy the experience. If you’re trading internationally you are investing a lot of money to have this experience… pick a better one. Would be 3 stars, lunch was also gross as we were promised a BBQ feast, it was boiled chicken and cold noodles. I didn’t want to offer that critique in person. Saw a turtle, I give that badass 5 stars!

Great boat out to the Reef World Pontoon at the Great Barrier Reef. Staff are super friendly and helpful, all equipment provided including wetsuits. Semi-submersible boat for those who want to see thd reef up close without swimming. Definitely a must-do while in the Whitsundays

Perfectly organised day out on the reef! We were picked up from Airlie harbour and taken out to the pontoon. On the 2 hrs trip over, we had to opportunity to book guided snorkel tours, helicopter flights and hire GoPros, which was super helpful and meant we didn’t waste time while in the reef. All staff were lovely and helpful. I highly recommend the guided snorkel tour!!!

It was an awesome day out. The catamaran was clean and spacious. The crew were always very helpful. Lunch, Morning and afternoon tea was all very yummy. Bathrooms were clean n tidy. I noted crew often going in with a mop or cloth.

Cruise Whitsundays service out to the reef was very good and takes about 60-80 minute trip there and back each way. All snorkeling gear was supplied part of the ticket cost, only extra cost was for scuba diving. And lunch was supplied part of cost also. You stay about 3 hours out on the reef on the pontoon. We boarded on Hamilton Island, and it picks first up from Airlie Beach.

It’s a lot of fun and we were well looked after. Saw many fish and other wild life. You will love it.

this was a cruise ship excursion. Definitely worth it! The underwater sub viewing of the reef was better than I thought it would be. Take motion sickness med if you are prone to that for the 2 hour ferry ride each way. The snorkeling is awesome! Not to be missed! Lunch was served on the boat. They offer gopros for rent or you can buy pictures photographer takes underwater of your group. They provide all gear, including wet suit and stinger suits.

Rode a boat for about three hours to our Snorkel location. We saw great views of the Whitsunday Islands and Hamilton Island. I liked that they offered us to see an underwater aquarium, a glass bottom boat tour and snorkeling as well as lunch which is why it was a package of highlights. The Glass Bottom Boat Tour allowed me to see coral reefs and fish. The snorkeling allowed great views of the coral reefs and they also took photos of us snorkeling which they allowed us to buy to form core memories.

Rough weather, multiple people sick on trip. When we got to the reef, the current was running fast ,and it was actually dangerous to go into the water. It was not the most relaxing experience! Trip should not have taken place on the day we went, with warnings from the weather bureau of high seas and strong winds. I discussed this with the office and they went ahead despite all this . just be warned! My advice is not to book ahead and check the weather before booking the trip.

The ferry trip through the WitSundays was beautiful and getting to experience the Reef is truly a "must see and do" as one of the great wonders of the natural world.
