Breathtaking Monteverde Cloud Forest Morning Trek

We spent a lovely morning with Oscar who provided excellent commentary on the flora and fauna in the cloud forest. Oscar was able to point out and describe the birdlife we saw and was very knowledgeable about the history and background of the park.

Honestly, you cannot get a better guide than Oscar. He is extremely knowledgeable and has great eyes and ears for spotting wildlife. We joined him for a morning cloud forest tour. He carried a great telescope and camera. Took about 70 amazing pictures of a male and female quetzals, bird nests, trees and a 🐍 and sent them to us at the end of the tour. Thoroughly enjoyable and felt fulfilled.

We saw a Quetzal pair, male and female. They were carrying food to their nest. Absolutely stunning. Oscar took pictures and then downloaded them to all of us. Great tour!

Our tour was lead by an extremely informative guide, Loandri, who tackled the job of showing us the wildlife highlights of the Monteverde reserve with much enthusiasm. We were very fortunate to get good sightings of quetzal, sloth, spider monkey, terantula plus a multitude of other naturtural history information. Loandri was happy to be asked any questions and made each of us feel very welcome. He helped us navigate our way around the park and gave us lots of advice on how to make the most of the reserve after the tour had ended. He really went to extra mile. I am very grateful to Oscar for accomodating our tour after I had made a mistake with the booking and got the date wrong. Thank you and I would thoroughly recommend this company.
