Private Versailles: Palace Secrets & Sweet Macaron Indulgence

What a FANTASTIC day with the most amazing tour guide. My husband and I, along with another couple spent the day with Lilit and our driver Sid seeing both Versailles and the Louvre. There is just no way that you could see both of those spots so efficiently and learn so very much than to do it with a guide like Lilit. We never felt rushed and all agreed that we would do it again as it was one of the true highlights of our time in Paris. We can’t wait to return and learn more about this beautiful city - hopefully with Lilit again!

My husband and I went on this tour together. It was the all-day tour. Our tour guide was Monty. He was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and very patient with our questions. It was a great tour, that I would highly recommend.

Monty was our guide. He was extraordinary knowledgeable and was very patient in highlighting all of the important historical, architectural, and artistic aspects of Versailles. The tour was enthralling and really help us understand how the building of the palace itself impacted various historical moments in France. Monty also pointed out lesser known anecdotes about the royal family members that lived at Versailles. He was also able to put Versialles in the larger context of French culture, especially the recognition of class differences. That was fascinating. From the moment we met until hotel return, Anneli shared her knowledge of history, architecture, art and food. She had a very engaging demeanor as she shared all things Versailles. I am a docent and board member of an art museum so my standards are quite high. Anneli was the epitome of a guide!!!

We had a terrific full day at Versailles with our tour guide Lorenzo! Lorenzo was also our private guide to Notre Dame! He was extremely knowledgeable about French history, the specific history of Versailles and shared some great insights on the rationale by the king for moving the entire court outside of Paris. We walked away with a new appreciation of the history, the motives, life at Versailles and a much better understanding of this important chapter in French history. The whole experience was professional, courteous and the caliber of the tour guide was excellent!

Starting from the private car ride to Versailles, to navigating the crowds, and hitting all the highlights… we learned so much in an enjoyable way with Louis. He is an outstanding guide and we valued him so much we even booked an additional Louvre visit with him! Thank you for a great experience!

Did a private half day tour with Paris to Versailles company. It included pick up at the hotel in a Mercedes, guide the full time and drop off at the hotel after the visit. The guide, Luigi, was outstanding - very knowledge about the history of Versailles and regaled my wife and I with stories about the place. Would highly recommend him as well as the company.

We booked the half day private Versailles tour and it did not disappoint. We met our guide outside the gates and proceeded to the gardens as our entry time was a bit later. Our guide "Mattew", was very informative and continued to adapt our tour to our needs. We had a lengthy visit out side in the gardens and then proceeded in to the tour of Versailles. The tour satisfied all our questions and needs, would recommend!!

We had a lovely morning with Monty at Versailles. He was prompt and delightful. It was great being able to go through the much shorter guide-only line instead of waiting in the huge general entrance line. He has an immense amount of knowledge and he was able to show us the highlights in an efficient manner. I had my 12 year old daughter in tow, so 3 hrs was just the right amount of time to hold her interest.
