Such an interesting place. We had a guided tour of the place. It is so interesting to see the different architecture in the place. Well worth a visit to see this historical site. It has been preserved well. Was very close to out hotel.

First and foremost before you book the tour, pls check whether Alcarez has reopened. Else you will feel disappointed. However, the entire tour especially the mosque-cathedral is stunning - not to be missed. If one does just a guided tour of the mosque-cathedral it’s enough. Rest you can go through the several lanes of Cordoba and soak in the local culture. Our guide was amazing.

Our guide was amazing (I am sorry that I didn’t catch her name at the start and was then so engrossed by her commentary that I forgot to ask later ! 😳) - such a personable and knowledgeable woman. I would highly recommend this tour, but you need to have a little fitness about you - would not be suitable for people who have difficulty walking long distances at a a reasonable pace. The Mosque Cathedral was simply amazing, and the history of this building was very well explained. I was so impressed by this young woman - 4 degrees (including 2 Masters) plus having to sit another exam to be able to tour the cathedral itself. She also speaks 3 languages - impressive. Again, highly recommend.

While the guide provided useful information, the experience could have been enriched by sharing more historical anecdotes and stories to bring the sites to life. The mosque/cathedral was particularly fascinating and stood out as a highlight of the experience. The old Jewish quarter was of interest, though it proved smaller than we had anticipated. Unfortunately, the Alcázar was closed during our visit, and the baths we toured in its place were less compelling. The Alcázar gardens, while pleasant, were a 20th‑century reconstruction for tourism purposes to mask the history of the building as a prison since the time of the Inquisition. The provided headsets made it somewhat difficult to follow the guide’s commentary, so we recommend bringing personal equipment for clearer audio. Overall, despite these limitations, we found the tour worthwhile.

It was informative and the guide answered all questions with a simple and precise explanation. The Mosque-Cathedral was beautiful

Lovely guide with wonderful grasp of Córdoba history. Explained the complexity of the past in details that was easy to understand. By far the best tour of our 5 weeks traveling Spain.

Mosque Cathedral & Jewish quarter tours quite informative and helpful. Skip Alcazar while interior of building under renovation. You get to see baths now which is cramped space with little information to gain.

The first guide was engaging and knowledgeable. However the radios were very poor, ended up standing next to guide to hear. Started as small group of 9 but half way through ended up with 20+. The second guide was less engaging due to size of group.

Our tour guide, Jose, was excellent. He was easy to understand, organized, and knowledgeable. The tour included some very crowded streets (to get to Synagogue) which is challenging for some people. The time spent in the Mosque Cathedral was well planned and the appropriate amount. The tour was worth the 3 hrs and 45 minutes.

The Alcazar is not able to be seen due to reconstruction. We were told about this ahead of the tour by a day or so, but it would be more helpful to remove it from the title of the tour. Very good tour and guide; you just won't see the Alcazar inside.
