Oaxaca Unveiled: Exclusive Culture & Culinary Tours

A fantastic day exploring 4 villages & Monte Alban. Plus, we had THE most delicious lunch at a family restaurant en route. Jesus was a fantastic guide who shared so much of the Zapotec/ Oaxacan culture! You can tell he leads with his heart .. he loves Oaxaca and shares that passion with you. They were completely happy to create a tour that I wanted, changing it a couple of times, including after Jesus and I met, and he realized places to add to the tour that I would likely enjoy. We saw Atzompa, Monte Alban, San Martin Tilajete, Santo Tomas Jaleiza, and San Bartolo Coyotepec. My favorite day of my Oaxaca trip.

The entire process was smooth, and he helped arrange the perfect tour for me. I chose the Art and Pottery tour, which became a top highlight of my visit to Oaxaca. Meeting the talented artisan families and learning about their traditions made the day feel incredibly personal and memorable. Last but certainly not least, I have to give a huge shoutout to my awesome guide, Jesús. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly kind, making me feel comfortable and included everywhere we went. His relationships with the artisans were clearly genuine, which made each visit feel personal rather than transactional. He also chose a fantastic Zapotec restaurant for lunch that was absolutely delicious and added another wonderful cultural element to the day. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Oaxaca Conmigo again—they truly made my first visit to Oaxaca unforgettable.

We had a great day touring various artisan workshops. Felix made sure we were comfortable and had planned a great itinerary where we got to see different artisans who were all experts in their crafts. Felix was great at translating everything for us, and we enjoyed spending the day with him. We also got to see the Tule tree and visit a small mezcal distillery. We would highly recommend this tour!

We had two wonderful full-day tours to places outside the city with Oaxaca Conmigo. Our guide Chuy was extremely knowledgeable on the history and archeology of the ancient sites we visited and also took us to local villages where met the people creating artisan craft work. He took good of us and was fun to be with. Highly recommended!

We spent a wonderful two full days with Jesus. We toured all the important sights and archeological ruins. Jesus had so much knowledge about everything we saw. He was very generous with his time and didn’t rush us from place to place. Excellent guide and highly recommended. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Oaxaca Conmigo again for another tour.

Felix, our guide, was awesome! So knowledgeable and amenable. The tour itself was magical at each step of the way. It’s a great way to get out of the city and see all the things Oaxaca has to offer.

This tour was excellent. Great guide, new comfortable car and a flexible itinerary that you can customize with the guide as you go. We also felt the stops, even the ones that involved shopping, were well curated and not tourist traps. I highly recommend it

We booked the Hierve El Agua full day tour and it was the highlight of our time in Oaxaca. Antonio was very responsive to questions I had during the planning and booking process. He made it so easy and was so supportive. Our driver Jesus gave us great information about the places we stopped at and the areas we drove through. The connection and care he showed to both us and people we met during our day made us feel we were traveling with a friend not just a driver/guide. I highly recommend this company and their tours. It is an exceptional experience.

Spent a memorable, wonderful day with Jesus of Oaxaca Conmigo, touring Monte Albán, a mezcal farm and workshop for a tasting, and various craft workshops. Jesus was fun and informative and went the extra mile to satisfy our interests and accomodate our needs . We packed a lot into one fantastic day, including lunch at Almú, one of the best meals we have eaten in the Oaxaca area. We highly recommend touring with Jesus.

A fantastic day. Amazing day, a bucket list day. Visiting amazing ruins with a Guide who truly feels Monte Alban, and shares insights I don’t think you get with just anyone. Then private visits with multigenerational silversmithing, textile, and black pottery families, welcoming us into their homes and shops, sharing the incredible artistry, history, patience, knowledge and attention to detail required to create stunning works of art. We seriously had moments of goosebumps and tears, being granted this glimpse into lives and history that most folks will never see. You really cannot put a price on such an experience.
