Lanzarote: Your Private, Bespoke Island Discovery Tour

Our guide/driver, Angela, was not prompt in responding to questions prior to our cruise. At first, she wanted to pick our group up at 8am but our ship did not dock until that time. Then she said she'd pick us up at 11am. I said we could start earlier but she said 11am was fine. It was not fine!! When she did pick us up, she said there was only time to do 2 out of the 5 things on the itinerary!! She had a very nasty attitude when I questioned her. We only went to Jameos Del Agua and Timanfaya National Park for a bus ride around the landscape (suppodely you cannot hike/walk around anymore). She did stop at an overlook for a photo op. We did not go to El Golfo, Los Hervideros and La Geria as listed on the Viator Itinerary. Extremely disappointing, especially since Viator had also tried to contact her (or the tour operator) to let them know that 1 couple could not make the trip as the husband was in the hospital. They were unable to reach her in a timely manner and therefore we were unable to manage my booking or get a partial refund. This is not typical of Viator experiences as I have been using them for decades. Extremely disappointed especially since this was a PRIVATE tour. I DO NOT recommend this tour unless you confirm the tour operator will do the COMPLETE Itinerary!!

Superb trip with friends exploring the south of Lanzarote. Nick and our driver were fantastic in making the 5 hour tour both interesting and informative. We were able to see the camels as they arrived and by not hanging around for a camel ride got to see a beautiful Lanzarote village instead that had a n amazing Nativity display. Can't recommend this private tour enough especially after seeing all the crammed tourist buses in the National Park!

4 hour trip primarily homing in on Fire Mountain arranged a few months ago. Private tour with driver/ guide whose English was very good went totally to plan. We were given opportunity to add in any other places of interest we wanted to visit. Yes, trip expensive but well worth this particular trip of a lifetime. Thank you to all those involved in planning and delivering a great tour on the day.

We’re a family of four with two children aged 9 and 7, and we did a private half-day (5-hour) tour with Lanzarote Experience Tours. From the start, our guide Angela and the expert driver Christina were friendly and welcoming. The tour included some brilliant stops like Timanfaya National Park and a camel ride (additional costs payable) – both of which were definite highlights for all of us. Angela had loads of interesting facts and stories about Lanzarote’s volcanic landscape and history, which made everything more enjoyable. What stood out was how family-friendly the whole experience was. Angela made a real effort to keep the children involved, asking them questions and sharing fun bits of information along the way – it kept them engaged and made the tour feel really personal. The pace was just right and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. All in all, it was a great way to explore the island and a lovely part of our Lanzarote trip. We’d definitely recommend Lanzarote Experience Tours to other families looking for something relaxed, interesting, and easy to enjoy together.

I apreciate the places that we saw. The tour guide was informative and friendly. However my biggest complaint and to be fair maybe I didn't read the fine print but this ended up costing quite a bit extra as no entry fee's in anything were included. Unlike other tours I have booked usually they specify upfront what the extra costs are that aren't included. This was not the case here.

Angela gave us a fantastic tour of Lanzarote. She speaks excellent English, is a great driver, and knows everthing about the Island. Her van was very comfortable for the four of us and could easily accomodate 6. We saw the 3 main attraction on the island: the Cactus Garden, the Lava Tube and Timanfaya Volcano Park. She also drove us along the cliffs for views of the nearby smaller islands. We thouroughly enjoyed our time with Angela. I highly recommend this tour and Angela as a guide if you're ever on Lanzarote Island (one of the Canary Islands).

The tour was excellent. The guide was very informative and pleasant and speaks fluent english. Itinerary is flexible and it is possible to tailor it to to your preferences. I would highly recommend this tour. It was great day and great experience.

We were looking for a shore excursion that hit two big attractions in Lanzarote: Timanfaya and Jameos del Agua, and were unable to find something that worked with our time in port. Booking a private excursion was a great option, especially when were able to find two other couples to share the cost. Our guide and driver were both locals and you could tell how much they loved sharing their island with us. Pickup and dropoff at the port were so easy and I appreciated the communication by email before the trip. When our cruise swapped port days at the last minute, the company was willing and able to adapt which was hugely appreciated. Overall, highly highly recommend!

TheTimanphaya National Park was fabulous and breathtaking. The tour guide, Angela was so to the point

We paid for a private tour but the morning we met the guide we learned the vehicle had blown a tire and we were now in a group tour. It wasn't a bad experience but as remedy for the situation they offered to cover our park entrance fee. Ulimately, we learned a lot, the driver was excellent and kind, the guide was very knowledgable and professional but I think the experience was overpriced. In the end, there were many more affordable tours listed that offered the same itinerary we experienced : 1. Timanfara Natl Park 2. El Golfo 3. Wine Tasting. A nice day but over priced.
