Although our tour guide was very knowledgeable, you do not need a tour guide for this experience. If you pay for admission yourself to each place (approx $15 for DOGE and $12 St Marks and $90 for 5 people on one gondola ride) and purchase the audio yourself and walk around on your own time, you will save time and a lot of money.

We took two tours with this company—the “Best of Venice” tour and the trip to Burano and Murano—and both were absolute highlights of our honeymoon. Each experience gave us a much deeper understanding of Venetian culture and even helped shape how we chose to spend the rest of our trip. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and clearly passionate about sharing the history and traditions of Venice. Both tours were well-paced, covered a lot of meaningful cultural insight, and never felt rushed. From exploring iconic landmarks to watching the artistry of glass blowing and lace making, every moment felt thoughtfully curated. We walked away feeling more connected to the city and so grateful for the guidance that made our visit truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to go beyond sightseeing and experience the real Venice.

In November wear layers the palacio is cold inside but in certain areas it’s warm. Philippe is enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour, guide, excellent and engaging the audience and very well-versed on the history of these Venetian sites. The chore is perfectly timed with a break to go to the gift shop and bathroom the cafeteria and the Gallo ride was delightful. definitely worthwhile 5 stars.

We had a fantastic Best of Venice tour. Our excellent guide toured us through the square, Doges Palace, and St. Marks Basilica. We had time during the tour for us to purchase our own snack before the start of the gondola ride. The tour included a lot and was decent value. Highly recommended.

This was a great choice to get alot of Venice into only 1 day! It was long day, but well worth it! The islands are both worth the trip, Doge's Palace is incredible and the tour guide provided very interesting history and facts. A gondola ride in Venice is a must experience. Well worth it.

The tour was very informative and our guide was great and knowledgeable. I took away one star because of the gondola ride. We are aware the max number per gondola was 5 people due to local regulation. Our party was split into two gondolas, but one of our group has to share with another couple. The operator would not give us two individual gondola for our own group. So now I have picture of my family with strangers in the background for the experience. I am sure it was disappointing for the couple who may wish to enjoy the experience without the presence of my family as well.

Elena is the absolute gold-standard of tour guides, second-to-none and I mean that sincerely. She's extremely bright, funny, witty, knowledgeable, and relatable, bringing the history and culture of Venizia bursting to life. I took many tours in my time in Italy, and you simply cannot find better than Elena. After a while you're just in awe at how good she is at her work. 10 out of 5 stars. 100 out of 10 points. Unbelievably out of good.

DRESS CODE: Entrance into any religious site requires a strict dress code. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. The Roman Guy will not be held responsible for refused entry due to unsuitable dress. • This is a walking tour with a small portion held on a gondola. • Please read our meeting point directions thoroughly in advance. It is the responsibility of all visitors to be at the meeting point 10 - 15 minutes before departure. Guests arriving after departure cannot be accommodated, & missed tours or tickets cannot be refunded. • Mandatory: Everyone is required to carry a copy of the identification page of their passports on all tours. A photo of the first page of your passport saved on your smartphone works as well. • The tours involve a fair amount of walking and sometimes stairs and uneven terrain; comfortable shoes are always recommended. • Depending on the size of your group, headphones may be used for some tours. In this case, headphones will be provided. You may use your own earphones if you wish. • We regret that we are unable to accommodate guests with wheelchairs or any walking impairments that require special assistance on our group tours.
